Scientists have absolutely no explanation as to WHY man grows old and dies. The cell reproduction should technically go on forever. I definitely believe these years are correct and I think this is keeping with the fact that Adam was never intended to die- he was supposed to live forever. Therefore, it stands to reason that mankind at this time would have been closer to perfection and would have enjoyed a much longer lifespan. Notice that over the pages of the bible, man's lifespan DRASTICALLY reduced- a result of man's decline from perfection.

I was told of a theory that they did not dictate age the way we do now, seeing as the calendar has changed so much over the centuries and millenia, and that the high numbers were not of years but how many turns of the moon. I dont know if thats true or not though, but it makes more sense than to believe people actually lived for over 700 years the way we reckon time now

I really don't know, however, in the books "The Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East", Baird T Spalding met a man he called Emile, who claimed to be 500 years old. In the Mahatma letters, written by Master Koothoomi and Master Monya, they both claimed to be several hundred years old. How does one establish proof of these claims? Thats a good question.

However, in reading both of these Masters works, they keep refering to death as being a disease that most of mankind have bought into. It keeps coming back to "you are what you think you are".

I'm striving for at leat 500 years, so I only have 441 year to go, but hey, I'll let you know if I make it. LOL

Sure they do. It has to do with telomerase and the length of telomeres.

That is a theory. A grasp to understand something that has never been fully understood.

The human body was made to repair and renew itself. If viruses and injury were not an issue, there is no scientific reason why the human body slows down and dies. The cells should be able to continually regenerate. I firmly believe that man used to live MUCH longer in the beginning.
