Buddhists are generally atheists.

Perhaps what he is trying to say is that people in the south are more concerned over faith and family, whereas people in other areas are more concerned about getting rich, getting ahead, getting the latest gadget or the latest clothing fad.

There are rich people in the south and the north both, they just have different mindsets.

That poll interviewed 350,000 people. In a nation of over 270 million, I don't see how you can draw any conclusions from a sample that small--and I note that many polls don't even have that many respondents! Therefore, polls = fluff or agendas (take your pick!)

AMEN to that! I mean, there are so many people that I know who promote their religion over others and trying put themselves over other people, but they don't practice their religion, only talk about it. Seems a tad hypocritical to me.

Why do you assume that because someone is not "religious" that are "godless"?

I love how all you fundie types always tie "faithandfamily" together as if it's one word, and as if you can't have a family if you're a non-believer. Oooh, watch out...the rich people and the atheists don't care about family! They'll be the downfall of society! Oooga booga!!

Woo Hoo...I beat you all. I live in the least religious place in North America! Not only that but Canada is 25% Atheist.

British Columbians are least likely to be religious
