sarcasm aside....we tell 'em not to do it...then give them the tools to do it?

that just doesn't make sense.

But you're not giving kids the benefit of the doubt to be smart enough to not do it. Many of us get through our teenage years without having sex despite the fact that we know about birth control and condoms, etc. At least with options available, if they choose to do it, then they might be more likely to do it smartly and safely.

We tell our children not to speed, either, and yet so many of you allow your kids access to a car. We tell our kids not to drink, and yet most of us have at least some alcohol in our house.

My son got the condom talk and the pharmacy tour at 13, when I caught him sucking face with a schoolmate. It made the proper impression, because he's turning 25 this year and has no children and has never had an STD.

You are an irresponsible parent if you don't give your child the knowledge to make intelligent decisions.

Kids realize that the free dispenser in the bathroom is not the only place to get them. They'll figure out how to get them if they want to use them.

Perhap condom dispensers should be allowed in High schools the way the are here in Canada and many other countries. Kids are gonna have sex no matter what their parents say.
Two thoughts about this statement:

1. Lets apply that mentality elsewere:

Why don't we provide male rapists with women...Kids are gonna have sex no matter what their parents say....

Why then the cry for gun controll from liberals, Kids are gonna join gans no matter what their parents say.....

What a waste of money for Duke University to make such a issue over the LaCrosse players who were falsely accused, Kids are gonna have sex no matter what their parents say.....

Why bother looking for plagiarism in tests, Kids are gonna cheat no matter what their parents say....

Why don't we abolish drunk driving laws, legal drinking age, Kids are gonna get drunk no matter what their parents say.....

Heck....why not really solve this thing once and for all.......get rid of parents...... Kids are not gonna listen no matter what their parents say

2.
The law doesn't change the attitude, it produces fear and\or resentment

What changes the attitude is.. "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law". Says who?......Galations 5:16-26

The problem is many who throw up their arms with such advice with....Kids are gonna have sex no matter what their parents say....are really not interested in solving the root problem because Kids are not gonna listen no matter what God says.

You just backpedaled on your last statement.

Because if they can get them other places, then the drug and grocery stores are encouraging them too, right? So you better stop giving your kids an allowance, or letting them have a part time job.... they might just stop off at the Walgreen's to buy their own condoms.

Or just keep them locked in the basement until they're 18, because you wouldn't want them seeing a CONDOM MACHINE, now would you?

I never even thought of this - no gas station bathrooms either!

What an illogical argument (cut for brevity)

OK outlaw teenage sex and see if it works. That is what you fundies want is it not? Or do you lower the age of marriage to say 13?

How so? My statement was that we shouldn't provide them to them. I stand by that.

If they have to spend money on them, they might think about it a little more than just grabbing them from a free dispenser.
