What do you think a person's conscience is, what triggers it, how does it become established? What if it's just the product of a combination of parental and societal teachings to individuals to establish one's personal moral values?

Well, if you want to get into the theories of personality development and such, to the concept of a child's mind being blank and absorbing what is taught. Ponder this
My children do not go to church. They hold a high respect for human life, for the sanctity and the respect of every human being, for love and respect of the world and the planet. They are taught the beauty of everyone, everything, they are taught to seek adventure and to use all of their resources, intellegence, reason, morality and imagination to arrive at decisions and solve problems.
Not to brag, but that is way better than what any church (christian) I have ever found anywhere in my life could teach them.
Wnat more proof? Where was I encouraged to hate homosexuals, communists, blacks, hispanics, jews, basically anyone who does not think like me or my group or who looks different? Where was I taught the concept of hate? Racism, prejudice, hatred of other religions (They are all worng except us? ) Not at home, not from my parents, but from the adults and kids at the church my parents forced me to go to. That is RIght. I learned to Hate in church, where to this day, I remember the most hatefilled group of humans I have ever met.
SO to answer the question, it would seem that just teaching on the basis of religion does not indicate acceptable moral standards.......
Thankfully the New Age Movement, for all of its hoakiness, opened my eyes to love and peace, love and peace that does not exist in Christianity but is created in my world around me, through me, by others, by anyone who wants to trly make the world a better place...Thank Buddha for showing me that all life is not so hate centered. Thank the aetheist friends I have and have had, for not judging me but understanding and showing me that it right to explore and use all faculties of the human mind to arrive at answers. And thank my genetics for endowing me with a high enough IQ just enough to realize crap as crap and be wise enough to walk away.......

I can't believe, Effie, you're not being sarcastic with the cross on the spirit of human health with the change of self-affirming individuation? The whole which makes each one of us a part is made available unconsciously. But that was supposed to be a human facticity. Are we in pain or in the projection of improvement in participating?
