Nope. nope. nope.

Trinity is 3 in 1. 3 persons, 1 God. It's not polytheism.

Doesn't that sound goofy? Anything that requires too much explanation is usually wrong. Doesn't this qualify? Doesn't this belong in the same category as a talking snake?

I subscribed to this link not to learn about the absurdities in the Bible, but to read the silly responses that attempt to defend the absurdities. If your god could see this coming, he had to have a sense of humor. Thanks for the laughs.

I could see why Christians are trying to say it's a trinity it is a defense after the fact. Sort of like, Jon Lovitz, "Yeah, that's the ticket, it's a trinity!" The last thing devout Christians want is to be regarded as a polytheistic religion.

I would have given you a 1000 rep points--but, alas, I can do only one.

Nope. Not really. I don't have an issue with not being able to fully comprehend the nature of the God that created the universe.

Really! ...so you give 10% of your money to the church without understanding it?

This is absurd and downright f***ed up beyond imagination:

The Spoils of War

Numbers 31:17-18

17-18 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Genocide, slavery, and possibly pedophilia. Little girls are spoils of war. And God demands his share of the spoils of war as well. What will the almighty LORD do with those poor girls?

Numbers 31:32-40
32-40 The plunder remaining from the spoils that the soldiers took was 675,000 sheep, 72,000 cattle, 61,000 donkeys and 32,000 women who had never slept with a man. The half share of those who fought in the battle was:
337,500 sheep, of which the tribute for the LORD was 675;

36,000 cattle, of which the tribute for the LORD was 72;
30,500 donkeys, of which the tribute for the LORD was 61;
16,000 people, of which the tribute for the LORD was 32.

Josef Fritzl's got has nothin on Yahweh.

Wow....this from the same god that murderd his own son? Wow...maybe if he had a daughter we wouldn't have murderd his child.

That's the cover up version. There are Old Testament passages that tells otherwise.

The later Jews became monotheists and edited their oral stories to appear as though they were always a monotheistic people who just happened to keep falling away from their god.
