Well, I am a theists, and when something happens in my life that is good, I thank GOD, which is within me. So, if I manage to get a better job and I am GOD...then am I an imaginary person? Am I just imagining myself?

You are GOD and I am GOD, and hence, either we do not exist or there indeed is a GOD.

"Theis" is a wide term which has multiple meanings...

So you are a pantheist, everything is god?

No, not "everything", but everyone. GOD exist in every sentient being and hence, we are GOD.

At what point do you consider a creature to be non sentient?
Is a dolphin sentient?
Is a cat sentient?
Is a mouse sentient?
Is an ameba sentient?

Thanks,
Aeroman

God is an energy that lives within all of us. God doesn’t save some and not others. God is not capable of this. God is the energy that lives within the heart of all creation the essence of all manifestation. God doesn’t judge God is Love. It's our thoughts that create our life. Its our own positivity or negativity that decides our own destiny. Get real and realize what God is and what God isn’t. Read Knowing The Secret and find the truth of your reality.

Especially as there was a human rights activist on board described by one of her colleagues as 'irreplaceable' and a 'truly wonderful, great human being.' Not good enough to warrant God's saving hand obviously.
Last night my girlfriend asked me why I didn't believe in god and I told her "why should I with all the horrible things that have happened to good people?" Then I said "even if there is a god, which one is the right one? There are so many different religions, so obviously they are all wrong except for one at best, so which is it?"

Then she said "What happens when you die?"
I said: "nothing, you just die"

Which to me, is a reason to live this live as well as I can. I believe that a person should not leave this Earth without having made it a better place. When I die, I want the impact of my life to be significant enough that the world would be a worse place had I never been alive.

That being said, where was God during Hurricane Katrina when so many devout Christians were killed? Or during 9/11? Or During World War II? Or the Influenza outbreak? Seriously, with all the horrible things that have afflicted people of every religion, how can anyone actually believe that it makes a difference if you believe in superstitions and fairy tales from some centuries-old book?

Tell me why the most downtrodden parts of the world (everywhere outside of Western Europe and the major cosmopolitan cities of the world) are also the most religious? Wouldn't their gods make their lives better? Wouldn't the gods protect them from the natural disasters that kill so many every year?

To me, a logically rational and educated person, believing in religion requires more suspension of disbelief than the Terminator Movies. In fact, I find Terminator 2 to be FAR more realistic than The Bible.

Your belief in an internal God is most in line with Buddhism, probably the least superstitious and dogma-fueled of all religions. In Christianity, I believe it would be blasphemy to say that you are god.
