No comparison........ I have learned a lot on this board, compared what I could expect to learn from such a biased book.

Under my skin?....Never heard of the guy. Fundies don't get under my skin. Actually I like reading them for laughs.

It's not so much that he gets under my skin. It's more that I'm willing to call out stupid when I see it. You're holding up Ray Comfort's book, I'm calling out stupid!

Let me just say that the title could have been better chosen. I know I wouldn't have much success if I quoted Believers Are Close-Minded And Stupid (http://www.sjgames.com/gullible - broken link) in debates...
(BTW, anybody noticed the tags? )

I put Ray Comfort somewhere in the same zone for mocking as I do Jack Chick.

It's not so much Ray Comfort that gets under my skin. It's his continuous inability to throw the same tired, stupid, and inaccurate arguments out over and over and over again. It's quite clear that the only reason he's been successful is because he can take advantage of those who are stupid or don't have enough knowledge to navigate through the minefields of horse manure that he throws out. For every ten people that could easily refute his horse manured arguments, there are probably a hundred who have "never thought about it like that before" and that's who he tries to preach to. If you can take advantage of people's stupidity you can take advantage of their whole lives. I suspect he knows much better than to suggest that immediately after the Big Bang, the galaxies, solar systems, etc... were fully formed. Yet, despite the countless amounts of refutation of this accusation he persists in projecting this as an explanation (just one example) despite the idea that he's living in a delusional reality devoid of the truth. But, perhaps 1 in 10 people actually know some of the theory of the Big Bang and he takes advantage of their stupidity to try and sway them over. It's ridiculous and stupid. He's an idiot and so is Kirk Cameron. I have zero respect for them.

What's interesting is that 1 post by me has gotten this much reaction from you guys.

He makes a good point, and I second it--we can show you all kinds of evidence, but we can't make you consider it. You are an atheist because you want to be, and you refuse to believe. It's simple, really.

At the crux of it, there really are no atheists---only rebels.

I hear Ray Comfort and I think banana.

I hear Kirk Cameron and I think Crockaduck.

Both do should be drawn and quartered for their utterly stupid views. JMO of course.
