It's quite inspiring when you understand it that way - makes me want to be one who can open the seven seals and illuminate my own 7 lightposts!
But in revelations, I though that the seven lightposts refers to the seven churches and the seven scrolls to the seven angels of the churches?

It's "Revelation". It's singular. It's just a pet peeve of mine. Typically, I tend to think that if you don't know that, I question how much you really know about it to begin with.
Who titled it "Revelation" ?

No body knows what they refer to. You just have to make an educated guess.

Yeah... that's life - educated guesses!

To me, the scriptures are spiritual lessons, not so much history lessons or prediction lessons nor emergency prep lessons. Of course, as with everything, you have to take it with the grain of salt... especially considering the corrupt hands that helped form the canon we have today.

I really don't know what the Revelation authors intended...
But I'll give you a possible perspective/interpretation...(some terms I learned from "Putting on the Mind of Christ") These are like the spiritual version of Erikson's stages of development...

1st seal, a crown is given - birth/life - Archaic & Magical Consciousness
2nd seal, a sword is given - ability to discern good from evil - Mythic Consciousness
3rd seal, balances are had - questioning myths - Rational Consciousness level
4th seal - power was given - can see many perspectives - Vision-Logic Consciousness
5th seal - Shown souls who were slain for the word of God - fears conquered for love - Psychic/Spirit Consciousness
6th seal - earthquakes, sun black, stars fall - see our imperfections "bursts our egotistical bubble" - Dark night of the senses
7th seal - silence, then "all hell breaks loose" with wars & plagues - Confronting "feelings buried alive"- Dark Night/Confronting Shadow Self
Christ reigns - Spiritual union with God, Our Creators - Christ Consciousness

The author of the book:

1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ...

eta: I understand the book with a view to how it relates to our inward spiritual development... just how it makes the most sense to me (not that all of it does).

That is as reasonable an interpretation as any I've seen of that enigmatic document. But . . . who really knows?

Yeah, it is puzzling.
I think all symbolism is supposed to be ambiguous so different interpretations can be made, based on each's unique level of understanding.

Good question which I can't explain by experience, since I've never seen or sensed the spinning wheels of energy that chakras are supposed to be. I think it's like energy is supposed to flow (to be energy) but can get blocked. The 7 chakras coorespond to different areas of the body. Some believe chakras are "metaphysical counterparts to the endocrine glands. To me, pressure points and metaphysics are more relevant than chakras, but I'm forever learning!

Starting at the top - you have the
1. Crown chakra
2. 3rd eye chakra
3. Throat chakra
4. Heart chakra
5. Solar plexus chakra
6. Sacral chakra
7. Base Root chakra
Chakra - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm not sure if chakras teach this, but metaphysics tells that when you are out of balance in thought/energy, your body will manifest it through "dis-ease" in that associated area... Of course, other factors must be considered, so if you have a headache because you just bonked your head, it's probably not because "self criticism & not wanting to accept what's going on."
Healing Affirmations - Metaphysical Causes of Disease and Illness

Certain types of yoga are really good for mind, body & spirit/energy.

~ Okay thanks, I thought that term sounded familar.

I use to work for a christian masseuse therapist.

While she was working on her two year Certification.
She would practice on me and on others for free.
And I'd go through some of her medical book of the body.

Even after I no longer worked there.
I still went to her for her services.

I since learned from her, pressure point therapy.
And massage techniques.
Which has greatly benefited me and sometimes my sceptic husband.

She is old and retired now.
But once confided in me that I was the only one
who ever really understood what she did.

But my understand of it is purely from the stand point of
the energy of the body being physical. And not spiritual.

As well also I use to go to a Chiropractor she referred me to.
And I also can treat myself pretty much as good as he could.

Many Christians have become fearfully confused
by such terms of energy being some kind of spiritual work of the body.

And many for this reason will not believe receiving physical benefits from those who speak in Hindu terms of helping one's body from a spiritist approach.

Therefore most Christians turn to Doctors and Drugs instead.
