When I read Revelations, I realized that the "7 Lightposts" and "scroll with 7 seals" is referring to the 7 chakras of Eastern tradition.

Jesus walked this earth as a man with all 7 chakras illuminated, which is why he was considered a miracle worker by the primitive cultures who did not yet grasp the physics he mastered and why he threatened the conservative status quo of the day's empire and why he was later turned into a God.

It's quite inspiring when you understand it that way - makes me want to be one who can open the seven seals and illuminate my own 7 lightposts!

Or, it could be that 7 is a significant number in Hebrew/Christian numerology?

The Greek world didn't have chakras. The Greeks believed that people had three parts to their soul, the "third eye" or the mind (nous), the thymus or the heart, and the stomach.

With so much turmoil in the world right now, it's very hard to keep them all open. I still have trouble with my third eye. I used to be able to look through it but something happened within the past year or so and now when I find it, it's closed. When I try to open it, it feels as if it's stuck. Any ideas?

I've found that "elevated states" come and go. I have had transcendent experiences where I have existed as one with a forest and the forest spoke to me through its various components. Then, other times, I have gotten lost on a trail. The same is true for my spirit guides. At times they are prevalent and in my face, other times it is hard to believe I haven't been cut loose.

Philosopher Ken Wilber writes about the differences between "states" and "stages". Stages are permanent. Once you have developed the cognizance to ride a bike or talk, you can always do so. In our discussions with the fundamentalists you see different "stages" at work.

I'd say that there's simply no need for you to see through your third eye now. Perhaps you need to focus on the physical and the mundane for now.

Before enlightenment: chop wood, carry water.
After enlightenment: chop wood, carry water.

Thanks!

You're welcome. Once you grasp his structure it's pretty common sense. I think he's really the definitive philosopher of the 21st century defining the next structure.

Is there any significance to your 1111? When the Holy Spirit is trying to get my attention, I find myself seeing series of one's quite a bit.

just curious.

nope. it isn't.

It's "Revelation". It's singular. It's just a pet peeve of mine. Typically, I tend to think that if you don't know that, I question how much you really know about it to begin with.

I never claimed vast knowledge of the Bible. I was simply offering an idea I had about it as I read.
