I was responding to a poster who was using his new testament to prove what he was saying. My proof is simply that the old and new testaments show God in very different lights. I am Jewish so the new testament doesn't prove anything to me. But the Christians use the old testament to prove their new testament.
So I guess you could say my proof is that the Jewish Bible and the Christian New testament show the creator very differently. Since the New Testament is a Christian scripture and I am not Christian using it does not prove anything to me.

all this discussion over what is right or wrong,in the end we will ALL come before our Creator no matter what we call Him,and we will be judged for WHAT WE DID AS HUMANS,be you Christian,Jew,Muslim--no matter what you call yourself or what you believe.I believe in the Blessed Trinity, yet I fully expect others that do not WILL STILL BE WELCOMED by our creator based on how they conducted their life----

God can be whatever you wish. No one has a right to dictate what god is to everyone.

The First Commandment
The First Commandment is the central axis of all the heavenly religions; it pertains to God, and implies that the religion should exclusively be devoted to God alone:
A-- It is mentioned in the Book of Deuteronomy, chapter 5: 7-9
“7-You shall not have strange gods in my sight.
8-You shall not make to yourself a graven thing, nor the likeness of anythings, that are in heaven above, or that are in the earth beneath, or that abide in the waters under the earth."
B-- It is mentioned in the Gospel according to Mark, chapter 12: 29-30
“29-And Jesus answered him: The first commandment of all is: Hear, O Israel; the Lord your God is one God.
30-And you shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind and with your whole strength. This is the first commandment.”
And the following is in the Gospel according to Mark 2: 32
“There is One God and there is no other besides Him.”
C-- God-be exalted- said in the Quran 2: 163
وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ لاَّ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ
The explanation:
(Your God is One God; there is no god save Him, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.)
And He -be exalted- said in the Quran 17: 23
و قضى ربُّكَ ألاّ تَعبُدُوا إلاّ إيّاهُ
The explanation:
( [O Mohammed] your Lord decreed, that you [people] must worship none save Him.)

They originated from the same source, but they are not the same god. They both have different story lines.

Devotion to God alone + righteous work
I add here: it does not matter whether man is Muslim and he believes traditionally that No god but God and that Mohammed is His servant and apostle.
While in fact he has the enthusiasm about some imams and sheikhs and the companions of the prophet.
He should believe that God is One without associate and practice this in words and work; so he glorifies God alone and prays God alone and swears in God alone and seeks the help of God alone and puts his trust in God and not in any other being.
Moreover, if he is a Jew, and he does not believe in Mohammed and the Quran revealed from God, and goes to his patrons: the religious sages and their shrines like bar Yohaya and the tomb of Rachel and he/she asks his/her need from these shrines --> he will be a loser in the afterlife.
If a Christian believes that God has a son and he is enthusiastic about Jesus and the patron saints and does not believe in Mohammed sent by God and the Quran revealed from God --> he will be a loser in the afterlife.
###But when man believes in God alone without associate, and he takes no patron other than God Almighty, and devotes himself to God alone in words and work, and believes in all the apostles of God including Mohammed and believes in all the heavenly books including the Quran --> such one will prosper in the afterlife and will be successful.
And this is in the Quran 18: 110
The explanation:
(Say: "I am only a human being like yourselves; [but] I am inspired that your God is only One God. Then let him who hopes to meet his Lord work righteous works, and associate none in worshipping his Lord.)

I am very curious to see how those of Jewish decent would answer the questions below.
I am just trying to understand! I am not a believer in Trinity; I firmly understand that there is only one creator and Father of all! You do know that Gentiles also came out of Noah’s son Japheth through Javan?
Jazzymom:
I was responding to a poster who was using his new testament to prove what he was saying. My proof is simply that the old and new testaments show God in very different lights. I am Jewish so the new testament doesn't prove anything to me. But the Christians use the old testament to prove their new testament.
Are you saying Yahweh (singular) has a different agenda in each covenant, if so then I agree!
So I guess you could say my proof is that the Jewish Bible and the Christian New testament show the creator very differently. Since the New Testament is a Christian scripture and I am not Christian using it does not prove anything to me.
I understand that you want to hold on to your heritage, but are you saying that Yahweh didn’t inspire both covenants?
Yes the two are very different, can you say which one depicted a Father of love, mercy and longsuffering verses judgment and animal sacrifice for sin and how many people of today are stoned for adultery?
I am not of Jewish decent and I accept both as the inspired word of Yahweh and yes the Old testament did in fact for tell the coming of the New. I am saying that Yahweh used Jewish men to inform the world of his plan of salvation which is explained by the Apostles that were called.
In fact he wanted to preach to the Jews not gentiles
Are you saying the Gentiles or (gentiles) are still dogs and heathens? It is common knowledge that during OT time they were!
It was Paul who started Christianity and spread it to the gentiles.
Apostle Paul wasn’t converted for years after the Apostles started teaching, then called Saul was an enemy of the cross even giving permission to stone Stephen.
Apostle Peter was the first Jew to preach to the (gentiles), not Paul, when he went to Cornelius’s house other than Yahshua taught the Samaritan woman at the well and told her all she ever did.
Apostle Peter was also the first to teach the Jew’s just after the Kingdom of Heaven fell for the first time in creation in the upper room!
