If god can't prove himself it's only because he/she/they don't exist. Something that is true should be able to demonstrably prove it is true rather than be based on nothing more than someone else's say-so.
Also, forming beliefs based on what is popular is akin to thinking it's a good idea to put an umbrella up your rear end then opening it. It would mean any wacky belief is true as long as it is held by the majority of the populace. This has been proven to be a whole lot of hog twaddle, however. The majority of people used to believe the sun revolved around the earth but this has been proven to be false. Basing ones life on something without good evidence, no matter how popular, is never a wise thing to do.
It is amazing how much like rifleman's IDT's (Intransigent Dogmo-Theists) you IDA's (Intransigent Dogmo Atheists) can be. You can deny it all you want but the attributes of what you prefer to call our inscrutable reality ("Nature" Universe, Multiverse, etc.) are at minimum attributes of God relative to us puny creatures. Our ignorance of any attributes other than the minimum accessible to our current science does NOT justify your IDA, period.
If confident assertion was a substitute for evidence and logical argument, these claims might be the least bit convincing.
Those who look for God in physical form will most certainly do so in vain; those who search for physical evidence of God is like catching fish with a broken net. He is not meant to be seen, heard or touched in human’s way, the way we are accustomed to. The last time God had assumed a physical form was back in the time of the New Testament. His name was Jesus, but that was the only time. It lasted for a few short decades, but his message lasted for eternity.
Despair not for those who search for Him with true heart for He says “Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be opened for you”, or rather He will seek you out personally for God manifests himself in the most mysterious way. What seems to be great tribulation can be blessing in disguise, unfortunate events can be way to deliverance, have faith in His divine plan and trust that He will not forsake his sheep as He is a diligent shepherd. When He does manifest Himself to you through miraculous deeds you will instantly be touched and aware of his powerful and almighty presence.
Make no mistake, He does not need to prove Himself to anyone, but He will always be with you even when you do not realize it yourself. He will always listen and reward those with true faith. Build a church in your heart, have your soul as an altar, and He will dwell in it for eternity. You will then be with Him and Him with you always.

We have much too much evidence to contradict everything you've stated. Do you have any evidence that supports what you say, other than you ancient text?

I believe I am stating truth ag sol:
Theism really has trounced and crushed Atheism in the Arena of World Merit and Influence...and has been doing it for thousands of years.
Theism is the most prolific elective concept in the history of mankind. Atheism...not so much.
God does exist...I believe that is truth...if you consider the full and complete definition of God. Of course, if you cherry-pick the definition, you can find a part that denotes that which is nonexistent.
On what basis do you figure that any particular individual's definition of "God" is the only acceptable and applicable definition?
I've said many times...EVERYTHING is a "belief", and we take everything on "faith" in the accuracy and merit of the information it is based on. Anything could be in error and found to be untrue and inaccurate.
