As I look around these forums, I can't help but notice people pleading for evidence of God's existence. God does not NEED to prove himself. Someone please show me, in the Bible, where it says GOD MUST PROVE HIMSELF. He does not need to. Why SHOULD God prove himself? Even if He DID, the disbelievers would still be...disbelievers - just like those that don't believe we landed on the moon to THIS DATE, they wouldn't believe in God if he appeared before them.
As far as I am concerned, look at your hands, feet, your child. Look at the trees, the sky, the sunset. Drink water, breathe air. That is good enough proof to me that we were created on a planet that we can live on. However, God needs no REASON to prove Himself to anyone. It is your choice to find Him, not for Him to find you.
This 1st post shows me someone who has their spirit for God in the right place and the 2nd one is someone who needs to do some serious study of the Bible and let God show him who He is.
they wouldn't believe in God if he appeared before them.
but "He" won't.. Sure, I'd believe in "God" if "He" appeared right in front of my eyes, too.. But when is the last time you heard about that (other than some guy standing in front of the pews "testifying" to the "Presence" he had in his home office last week?
You're absolutely right. "God" does not need to prove "himself" to me. doesn't make one difference either way. Have a great day.

You can also look at nipples on men, the appendix, wisdom teeth, tail bones on humans.......the list goes on and on, but you get the drift. And we were not created on a planet that we can live on, we are on a planet that life adapted to, distinct difference. I don't have a clue as to why people not only believe in a non-existent character, but also insist they know his/her personal thoughts, which coincidentally agree with their own beliefs. What the heck are the chances of that!!!!
I hate to break it to you, but I believe and hope that god is a rapidly fading image on a milk carton.......have you seen me?
It is better to base your life on facts rather than fiction. Facts are based on truth and truth is based on things which can or have been empirically proven. If god can't be proven empirically then there's no reason to assume they exist.
Most people require proof for their belief, even the OP, it's just that some ideas of proof are insufficient to others. Some people may only require a good feeling or words that resonate with their thinking while others require physical, tangible proof. In the end I think whatever does it for you is fine, just don't try to force it on someone else.
I could be wrong about this, and I'd be willing to admit it if I was. But somehow I think the point is that such things aren't up to us. We're the ones who have to live with the cards we're dealt--rather than us being the dealers.
