...Since when did Jesus preach hate and exclusion of certain groups of people? If this were not bad enough, how many times have we seen hateful hypocrites like Ted Haggard running around? I feel like my religion has been perverted and even stolen from me.
You are absolutely correct. I respect anyone's religious rights. But your religion has been stolen from you by people who think they know what is in the hearts of others - even more so than God himself. And those people feel perfectly justified in condemning anyone who doesn't agree with them. They themselves pretend they are God.
Homosexuals don't like it when people "bash" them, but find it rather easy to frequently bash and name-call Christians ("bigots") for our beliefs. Our beliefs are ingrained in us and won't "go away" because philosophical and scientific sources say the should (The concept of being "born gay"). The Bible tells us not to allow any man to spoil us through philosophy or "vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ". Colossians 2:8. And, for all of you posters that are not Christians, but love to cite and "interpret" scriptures out of context, as I've stated to you previously, you do so w/o power or anointing, since it's IMPOSSIBLE for unbelievers to discern the Word of God: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:9-16-Reading in context). Hence, all of the attacks on sound doctrine...They're baseless and unfounded. Finally, it's so unfortunate to hear homosexuals and others argue Jesus never discusses homosexuality in the New Testament, since this shows their clear lack of understanding. If you were a Christian, and therefore, truly understood the Bible, you would know and understand that Jesus was there at the creation of the world and beginning of time: "Let US make man in OUR image...". Genesis 1:26. Since the Father, Son & Holy Ghost are one (Trinity), God/Jesus/Holy Ghost are the Word, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning w/ God". John 1:1-2. Hence, there is absolutely NO disregarding or prioritizing one part of the Bible over another. Christians embrace and believe in the total embodiment/entire Word of God, both the Old and New Testament. So, regardless of where homosexuality is discussed in the Bible, Jesus spoke and inspired the Word to be written.

Calling those of you that discriminate against gays, bigots is not "bashing" It is just the truth.
I know the story and the context, but hey, you are the bible thumper and you should know it better than I don't you think? It is certainly not up to me, a non believer and evil Atheist to educate you about your own book of myths....Look it up.
