I think you are mistaken there is no emotion in what I wrote. You look at empiricism for all your answers but yet science is no smarter now then when I was kid. If you are relying on science for all your answers I feel sorry for you They still haven't came up with anything to cure the common cold they can't stop psoriasis or simple skin problems we even have specialist in each field and yet the are still practicing medicine. We make the same stupid piston engine that came out on the model t ford and still have red lights for running and red for stop after a 100 years plus of research. We still think the chemotherapy is the way to cure cancer and all the money has been given for cancer research dating back to Truman's era. If this is what you want to spend your eternal life on,then you are more ignorant then what I first gave you credit for.
That bolded part really raises some concerns to me. These people are not content with simply being ignorant,hypocritical buffons. They actively seek to convince impressionable individuals to forego medical treatment for useless or detrimental "alternative medicine", getting most of them killed in the proccess.
Boy you hit the nail on the head that is exactly what I feel peace and tranquility. Unfortunately most Christians don't feel the same because they are into emotionalism and think they can actually do something for God. Good example Christians think they are going to change the US by their vote and who they put in office. Well has anything changed??? We are in the same boat even worse now none of the rich congressman care about us I don't care if the say democrat or republican let us tell the truth LIar and liar who is the biggest. Look at who we have in there he says well things will get worse for they get better and then takes off in air force one and spends tons of money while people are out of a job. The Christians never figure out that when you put your trust in a man you are a fool. They need to pull a dollar bill out of their wallet and look at the words that were put on there before any of today were born in GOD WE TRUST.
I agree with you that people should not vote based on their religion. And I'm not sure what this stuff has to do with this thread. But I wanted to correct you, "in god we trust" was put on the dollar in the 1950s, and there are plenty of people still alive who were alive then.

You are alive because of the unmitigated grace of God not science. You can say that you can condemn God or not believe because of his grace. Just having faith doesn't magically make things true, and wishful thinking is not evidence that something is true.

And if you are wrong, and as I suspect, this life is all you get, then it would be wise to hedge your bets and not waste it. If you are right what makes you think that everyone doesn't get an afterlife? Oh right....Only believers get that, the rest of us rot in hell....The carrot and stick motivation approach set up by the inventors of Christianity....Must have slipped my mind....
The problem I have by going directly to God as you people think is that we as humans have nothing to offer just plain old horse sense will tell you that. It is like you say hedge your bet, if you knew you were going to die in this next hour I bet you wouldn't think about gee should I go through an arbitrator by believing in Jesus Christ or can I go directly to an Awesome power that caused Moses to wear a veil.
Here is an another thing to ponder why all of a sudden is United states trying to get rid of God ? People have flocked over here we have best land best environment most freedom and capitalistic government that was in Indoctrinated by God the Judicial system, our constitution , our declaration of independence our whole court system Swear to tell the truth,based on these principals yet the idiots want to take God out and off everything. So if it wasn't so important why do they want to take it off? when Hitler took over Germany he only wanted what he taught and no Bibles and no talk about Jesus Christ or God. Why is Jesus important God added human to his awesome character through Jesus Christ
