Oops there I said it again. Truer words have never been spoken. Xtians will continue to contort the truth to allow for their convenience. It is most certainly NOT what is throughout scripture. Their greco roman messiah said so, but the REAL Messiah Yahshua, the Lion of Judah darn sure had NOTHING to say along those lines. This isn't about "agreement" it's about "truth". They can NOT support ANY of this drivel with actual scripture (unless of course they use some contaminated greek mistranslations).
Then you have those who refuse to listen to the scripture that proves them wrong, or only quotes partial scripture to try to prove their point.

You go right ahead and live under the law, dcisive (which, I bet you DO NOT obey all the laws of the OT), and I will live under greasy grace.

No just a desire for a display of doctrinal consistency since it is the ultimate authority on morality.

People are not stoned any more because we are now under grace. Capital Punishment for adultery is still right and good, divinely lawful, in the eyes of God, but is not put into full effect anymore because Christ has come and taken their place or has been stoned in their place. Gods law and death penalty against them is satisfied in the death of Jesus and can now have grace and mercy for them through Christ. God allowed the full effect of judgement to be implemented on adultery before the death of Jesus to demonstrate to the world the reality of the consequences of such sin. It was completely just and right for God to implement the death penalty in all ways he did before Christ died. For the wages of sin is death. After Christ died God then had a way to offer mercy and time and space to rehabilitate adulterers for those who chose to use that vehicle of grace rather than just stone them to death. But also, for those who do not take this vehicle , even worse than punishment of stoning becomes upon them because not only should they be stoned but now even worse because they did not take the opportunity to become free from the first sin and their 2nd sin (rejecting mercy for there 1st sin through Christ ) makes it much worse for them then a stoning. Now, he does not implement the full judgement upon adulterers because through the death of Christ he desires them to see the death penalty they escape through Jesus. He is, through grace, allowing them mercy and time to repent because Christ has taken the death penalty for all mankind, not just for christian's. So, in conclusion, adulterers should be stoned by christian's, the death penalty should be in effect,,but we don't stone them because Jesus, in a sense, was stoned in their place, and they are now afforded a time of grace to repent and not be stoned to death like they should be because of that grace afforded to them by Gods death on the cross. If they choose not to take this grace, a much worse punishment awaits them. The OT completely illustrates to us how much God means what he says in regards to sin and should motivate people through the fear of the Lord to repent, and especially repent after the death of Christ because now the love and grace of God is made clear as well.

The Old Testament makes so clear the just and good and right harsh and horrible consequences we should all be receiving because of our sin. The law is good and holy. It was good and holy for people to be stoned to death, for teenagers to be stoned to death, for God to destroy Jobs children themselves, for the walls of Jericho to destroy men, women, and children, and the Isrealites to further illustrate the wrath of God by burning the city of Jericho to the ground, basically destroying everything, even the animals. The New Testament makes so clear the way of complete escape from those utterly horrible consequences. Together the fear of the lord and the love of lord should motivate everyone not to do those things anymore. They are not ok to do. Gods grace is not to be trifled with or make us think for a moment it's now kinda "ok" to sin, but rather, his grace and awareness of what we escape through Christ should motivate us and also enable us, through the power of christ able to dwell within us now, to live that much closer and intimately restored unto the God of the whole universe, our father.

And keep in mind, it's only through grace that we aren't currently being stoned to death for sins. At any time God could still rightfully have any of us stoned to death for sins we commit.

The grace of God, the death of Christ, does not mean it's now impossible for God to destroy us in any way whatsoever he so chooses to do so. And destroy us he should rightfully do should he not? Through fear and trembling work out your own salvation, and learn to do good. Cease, to do evil. Through Christ.

Put it to laziness..?...no...jesus is trying to prove something...by letting what should be stoned alone...but they are also to let the others be to...which they do not do...and so something goes on unbalanced..and or undone..or not allowed=(prohibited) by a law that god (if he grew all plants in his garden) would be arrested for......something that needs to be done...and they won't let em...cause they murder them...continually...or imprison them constantly..or belittle them so they do not come to be what they are suppose to be...helpers of the garden...and so the earth suffers more death...continually...while they capitalize off of that...using $$$$ and allowing more sin and evil to come into it...so they can capitalize off of that......and so on and so on and so on....now jesus said...what??? them using the coin are making...sin and evil doers BE BORN...who's fault is it?....do not support them WHO USE THAT ENGRAVEN THING.....and evil and sin will go away...dry up...vaporize..like dew......when we give...share...care...and stop the killing...stop the hatred..stop the pollution...stop...stop stop...using the thing which makes it..breeds it, and cause death...war...sickness and suffering....you do not see BUT SUPPORT.....but is being done by it for it and with it....yes?...put it down...and live!...keep holding it near and dear...and you will die!..or get sick, or the woes and wrath will come....so..no need for a stone ANYMORE... to be tossed TO KILL THEM WHO DO THESE THINGS AND EVIL SIN CONTINUALLY AFTER BEING TOLD WHAT COMES FOR THAT BEHAVIOR..and murder only makes more sin be...and that is what satan is counting on!...so jesus also said put down the sword....to save them....but look here in the world...they are making swords...and using em WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT?...WELL IF YOU USE MONEY THAT IS WHAT THEY USE TO MAKE EM....constant slaughter...cause they cannot make peace without God...and they put God into prison for growing a plant on this side...and slaughtering his children on the other!...WITH YOUR SUPPORT...RIGHT?..SO WHO IS AT FAULT NOW?...AND GOD WILL JUDGE ACCORDINGLY!

Christians follow the teachings of the New Testament, which was Gods message through Christ. Christ taught by example when a woman was to be stoned to death for adultery he told the gathered crowd "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" no one could as there is no one without sin. Christ also told us to love our enemies... This it seems harder for people to do, but just imagine if you could just forgive your enemies and love instead of hate...Would the world be a better place?

Islam advocates stoning and other Old Testament punishments because the Quran for the most part looks to the Old Testament whilst largely ignoring the teachings of Christ and the New Testament.

On a personal note, I believe God gave us our intelligence and a desire to seek enlightenment for the betterment of the human race. I don't see that such punishments serve any good in today's world and should be left in the past.
