I have to agree. Quite apart from Lionpainter getting a bit off - topic here, people have been seeing evidence of prophecy (which is what I take Lionpainter's post as pointing up) in every event since 60 AD.
It won't wash. The world didn't end in 1000 AD nor in 2,000. The crusades didn't bring in armageddon, nor the Spanish conquest of South America, nor did the two world wars, the black death, Napoleon, the Cold war, Aids, the wall street crash, the second wall street crash or any other wall street crashes. I doubt that anyone can count the number of poeple in history who have been accused of being the anti-Christ. And we are still wobbling along here. No thanks to religion.
It is fun game to search the Bible and trying to fit comments to current events and hold it up as God keeping His promises. It is just a game though. It is not really a matter for serious discussion as though it was significant.
Oh you should look at some of the older threads. Back then we had a few people predicting that Obama would bring about Armageddon and that hardcore porn would be shown on children's channels throughout the day in the year 2009. Now 2012 is all the rage for the would be prophets.

I should, indeed, look back at the older threads. I'm sure they are great fun. Yes, we get the regular tranches of dire Bible-derived warnings which don't pan out but then we go on to the next lot. As it says in Watership Down, so long as he keeps talking no-one seems to notice that his predictions don't happen.
Just so we are clear Lionpainter, when you mean ground shaking events are you specifically referring to an earthquake? How big will they be?
Yes that is what I am referring too. And so that you know, yesterday, the Father, pointed out, in a ground shaking event, that Iran is corrupt in there elections. There was an earthquake in southern Iran. I do not lie. I know who I am.

while the free press presents a report on possible election fraud, there are no reports so far about the earthquake you mention.
now i happen to be able to believe what you say. but not everyone is.
educated and well behaved people will perhaps leave it at that. for others, this "i know who i am" is an unwarranted provocation, and linking two separate incidents together, may not be wise, just as it may not be my duty to educate you on that. imho.

On the day of 9/11 as I always do, I turned on the computer and tv to start my day. Not long after, the first reports were coming in about a plane hitting one of the towers. I knew then it was no accident. It's restricted air space.
I knew because I saw it in my experience. When the first tower collapsed, I cried. I did not know then what it was that drove me, but within a few days I spoke to my priest about it. I told him of my experience. He did not totally dismiss it, but I knew in his heart that he felt compelled to know me more.
I lost so much of my life from that day on. The wife I married for 26 years did not want to hear what I was saying, but I was driven to know the truth. My anger grew in me, cause I could not convince her of that truth. I lost my family and I swore revenge on those who would do this to me. The past five years have grounded me to the earth, like dirt. But I could not deny what I knew.
It wasn't until this past Christmas that I really understood my destiny. I lost so much, but I gained so much. I've come to realize that everything that has happened to me and my family was meant to happen, so that I would remember what was said to me. My family is my heart. I can't tell you how many times I cried when I saw innocent people being slaughtered in Iraq, for I saw these things as a child. How many families must be torn apart?
I have told my girls that which was said to me. As I said, I bought 3 bibles this past Christmas and the total was 8888.
Beings that I am their Father, they listened, but they definitely had questions in their minds. Was their dad loosing it I believe they fully understand now, or close to it. My wife and I still talk and it is for our children that we continue to communicate.
It was St. Paul's letter to the Hebrews, Chapter 5 that awoken me. My rage has lesson, but I still seek Justice.
I say these things so mankind will live and not die. I am My Father's Son.

I did read about an earthquake yesterday in southern Iran that measured a 4.7 on the Richter scale. Of course, that part of Iran lies directly above the Arabian tectonic plate and has around 300 of those every year.
I don't think an earthquake this tiny can really be considered a world shaking event. Specially in a country that has had big ones like the 2003 earthquake that killed over 15000.
300 quakes a year huh? Why that is almost one per day and makes any prediction of a quake in Iran child's play doesn't it....I predict that there will be more than 300 quakes in the US within a week.....Predictions like this are meaningless because they are almost a sure thing, certainly not miracles.
