I can't find any reference about Hercolubus other than a 53-page "book" (actually a booklet) written by V.M. Rabolu, which is promoted by Editions Humanity. There isn't much information about V.M. Rabolu either. However, I noticed his booklet includes a chapter (listed in the Table of Contents) on the subject of Extraterrestrials.

- Have you read the booklet, "Hercolubus or Red Planet"?

- What was the source of the "true spiritual Knowledge" he found?

- Why should his vague claims be considered to be "facts" and "true knowledge"?

- Is the word "Hercolubus" the Columbian translation for the word "Wormwood"?

You do realize that the Book of Revelation is apocalyptic literature, and was never intended to be taken literally...don't you?

The star refers to some spiritual agent that will cause bitterness of spirit, or great suffering, as just punishment for rebellious mankind. The concept is not unlike that of the analogy of Lucifer, the bright star who 'fell'.

Rev 8:10-11 highlights the following images:
• A Great Star
• Named "Wormwood"
• Falling from Heaven
• Burning as a lamp
• Falls Only on the Rivers and Fountains of Water,
• These fresh water sources are Made Bitter by this great star.
• It Causes Death of men because of these waters

Rev 12:3-4 "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a GREAT dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the THIRD PART of the STARS of heaven and did cast them to the Earth and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born"

Luke 10:18 "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning FALL from heaven"
So, We see angels described as stars and we see Satan also a mighty or "great" angel. If angels are described symbolically as stars he then is a "great star" who falls from heaven!
You will notice also that Satan fell "as lightning". When lightning strikes we know that it "lights up the sky". This also matches perfectly with the description we see in
Rev 8:10 "burning as it were a lamp". Now lets go to verse 11: "And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."

Can we find any other discussion in the bible about these things?

Jeremiah 9:14 à 15 "But (they) have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them; Therefore thus saith the Lord of host, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them even this people, with WORMWOOD, and give them WATER of gall to DRINK"

Jeremiah 23:15 "Therefore thus saith the Lord of Hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with WORMWOOD, and make them DRINK THE WATER of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land."

Let's review some definitions from Strong's
Wormwood = H3939 la‛an ah lah-an-aw'
From an unused root supposed to mean to curse; wormwood (regarded as poisonous, and therefore accursed): - hemlock, wormwood.
Gall = H7219

Fascinating isn't it - now lets look at the "venom" from serpents (demons and devils) spoken of regarding the commission of the church found in Mark 16:18 "They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing (i.e. saints seeing through false doctrines) it shall not hurt them . . ."

So we see in Mark 16 that there are these demon or devil spirits who spew out this venom or poison, which is given as something to "drink" or imbibe. "Connecting the dots" we see that demons spew out poisonous venom and also see that "gall of wormwood" is described in scripture as poisonous and deadly - it kills men.

Finally - we need to deal with the second half of verse ten. " . . . and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters . . ." There is a clear distinction made here in that these are "fresh water" sources - not the "sea" or oceans which are not fresh (drinkable) water sources.

Rev 16: 4-5 "And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of water and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous O lord which are and was and shalt be because thou has judged thus." (Notice that the angels are not mourning but rather they are praising GOD for this act. This seems to indicate there is a very positive aspect to this pouring forth of this blood.) Again "blood" here is the same word as "the atoning blood of Christ" Strong's Greek 129.

So a question now arises - is this a literal event where water turns into blood as in the plagues of Egypt or in this vision of John is he seeing an event which is symbolic of Christs blood covering not just all of the "rivers and fountains" (Rev 16:4-5) but also a "third part of the sea"(Rev 8:8) which have been poisoned by the gall of this "wormwood bitterness" which is the deception and hateful venom emanating from Satan?
Now consider that Jupiter is the largest of all the planets and is eleven times larger than the Earth. A "comet" is a relatively small heavenly body compared to a star. Yet the description in Revelation 8 is that of a "GREAT STAR". If we are going to hold to seeing this prophecy in a purely physical way then we can't rationalize away the meaning of "great star" to "force it to fit" what we believe is being described here. If an actual star collided with the Earth - let alone a "great star" - scientists assure us that the Earth could not survive such an event. God is the creator and has set in motion the laws that govern HIS universe. To believe and teach that such a thing could occur is to set aside the laws God has set in motion and revealed to us. We have seen significant evidence of what happens when heavenly bodies collide and know for certain that nothing described as a "great star" could literally collide with earth and fully two thirds of humanity survive the event. So using the bible itself and the laws of God's creation WE MUST ASK - is this prophecy described for us by John in Revelation 8 a physical or spiritual event?

Conclusion
This prophecy appears to describe the eviction of Satan from heaven. He is thrown to the Earth with one third of the angels, which had he deceived and are now his demons. They actively attack the Christian community, which comprises one third of the people on Earth by spewing out their poisonous venom using a false message designed to pervert and counterfeit the true gospel and the true message of the Kingdom of GOD.

If it has to be explained to you that these two verses of Jeremiah aren't referring to a planetary object, much less a star, then things are approaching the border of hopeless.

That conclusion is not supported by quotes you provided.

Revelation 8:10 Then the third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star burning like a torch fell from the sky; it landed on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 8:11 (Now the name of the star is Wormwood.) So a third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from these waters because they were poisoned.

Revelation is pure symbolism.

The symbolism in Revelation is prophetic in nature, and thus support is limited to other prophecies and not generic biblical texts. In other words, we can understand the symbolism of Revelation by looking at the symbolism in other prophecies, since they are identical.

From our symbolism, we know that :
Sea symbolizes chaos and conflict, an allusion to Greek, Roman and Semitic cosmogonies, including Hebrew; the Earth created from the chaos of the primordial waters. Occasionally, the sea is to be taken in a literal sense.

Earth represents the inhabited civilized world, which does not include areas dominated by barbarians or aboriginal peoples. Sorry, but that does not include Australia, the Americas, Asia or sub-Saharan Africa. In Revelation, the earth is the Roman Empire at its greatest extent and adjacent territories over which Rome exercised political or economic hegemony (basically Western and Central Europe, the Balkans and MENA -- Middle East and North Africa).

When not in the context of the inhabited civilized world (which is quite clear), the earth symbolizes stability (in contrast to the “sea of chaos”). There is one other unique phrase, “those that dwell in the earth” which refers to those who are eternally damned.

Air signifies the mental plane – thoughts, beliefs and ideas; paradigms, if you will.

Heaven or the heavens symbolize spirituality, except in the context of “those who dwell in heaven” which represents those who are saved.

Fire and brimstone, and hailstones are destructive forces that are not weather related. Depending on the context, the destruction could be physical or tangible (that is something that you can see like an army being annihilated) or non-physical, that is to say intangible (like thoughts, belief systems and ideas being destroyed).

Fire represents purification (good) or punishment (bad). Generally, fire (and anything else) that falls, comes down or is thrown down should be interpreted as a punishment, something bad, or something negative. All other uses of Fire represent purification.

Earthquakes are revolutions, but are context dependent. A revolution could be physical (civil war) or the transformation of thoughts, beliefs and ideas (a social revolution).

The Sun and Moon denote earth-based authorities, whether secular, religious, political or social, and they can be good or bad, as viewed in the context of other symbols. Generally, the Sun is secular or political powers, while the Moon signifies religious or social leaders.

Stars are symbols of spiritual powers. Stars in the heavens are good, while stars that are falling or thrown to earth represent (contextually) evil, idolatry, paganism or pagan gods.

Islands and Isles stand for nations. In the context of Revelation, a nation is a State, nation-state or ethnic group.

Beasts are empires while kings may represent governments, kingdoms or empires.

Heads and Mountains represent forms of government and political sub-divisions. Often, mountains may refer to subordinate political entities such as provinces or principalities subordinate to a larger political entity, like an empire (e.g. Judea a province of Rome).

Horns show the divisions of a kingdom or empire.

From our prophetic symbolism, we know that stars which fall or are thrown are bad spiritual powers, typically denoting Pagan deities. Fire and burning things which are thrown or fall from the sky have negative connotations, often serving as punishment.

“A huge star burning like a torch falling from the sky” symbolizes a Pagan god who will do something negative, like punish. This is a major Pagan god, or at least a well known Pagan god, because the falling burning star is described as “huge” and there is additional emphasis with the parenthetical naming of the star (Pagan deity) as “Wormwood” (consult a grammar book if you don’t understand the use of parentheticals in literature or go beat up your 9th Grade English teachers and teacher's union officials for denying you education).

According to the Huns/Magyars, one day, Attila the Hun noticed his horse had injured its hoof. Attila retraced the route he had ridden his horse and eventually found a metal point buried in the ground. He started digging and found a sword. Attila claimed the sword was thrown from the heavens by the Pagan god Mars, signifying that he should be king, and he was made king in 434 CE.

If you read Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Gibbon (or Outline of History by H G Wells), you find that every battle Attila and his Hun army fought was on a river (hence the poisoned rivers where many die). Attila's strategy was innovative and powerful. He would trap Roman legions in an Oxbow -- a bend of a river -- (meaning the legion is surrounded on three sides by the river), where the only escape was to cross the river (a difficult task wearing armor and being shot from behind with flaming arrows), or he would initiate a slow withdraw, luring the legions across the river. When a third of the legions had crossed over, he would turn and attack with overwhelming force (effectively leaving the legion combat ineffective). His tactics are still taught at war colleges around the world (the Russians and Americans use corps artillery and multiple crossing points to spread an opponent out and minimize the effect of Attila’s tactics). For those who don’t like to look like village idiots, the accent is on the first syllable. It’s (AT-tila), not (uh-TIL-uh) like most Ahmuricans pronounce it.

If there's anything to Revelation, then that would be it, meaning it has already happened -- no Tribulation for you.

Revealing...

Mircea

In Reveleation 8:11 when referring to wormwood it says men will die from the water not from the impact of the star. With that said you need to look at the text with accuracy of Biblical teaching. If there were a physical large star to hit the earth people would surely die from the impact. From the mention of men dying from the nitterness of the water it is most likely referring to a spiritual event.

Yes the disaster at Chernobyl Ukraine is Wormwood from Revelations 8: 10-11, as the star there fell was the same chemistry as the nuclear reaction which burned the building and polluted the River close by were many people got radiation sickness , back in 1986, as Wormwood is English for the Ukrainian name of Cherobyl.....as this disaster confirms the prophecy of the book of Revelations ...As the Pripyat River is polluted with radionuclide's in the River sediments , and this pollutions drains into the Dnieper River, as the very name Pripy means five , which can drain into five Rivers ....
