Not surprising.

So the Catholic Church's hierarchy rush to defrock a priest who is actively supporting the ordination of women priests, but take their sweet time in taking reluctant action or no action against priests raping young children.

Perhaps they are worried that female priests won't go along with the cover up of child rape?

The catholic church and it's leadership is so utterly clueless about their sickness and perception of the church by others, this causes not surprise at all, and is predictable.

The church tells the woman and the boy to bend over. The woman gets the boot, and the poor little boy gets messed up for life.

I've seen this item in other news. There was an story coming from a South American country where an 11 year old girl got pregnant due to incest from her father and her doctors decided she needed to have an abortion because for health reasons. Her mother and doctor who performed the abortion were both excommunicated by the Church there, but father who had RAPED HIS DAUGHTER was not.
