If truth is what really matters, how could one go about explaining how a book that's said to have been inspired by an all knowing Creator, could possibly have errors and contradictions?

Check out Revelation 22:18, if it was not possible to have things added or taken away from the Bible it would not have had this verse.

I think the Bible is for real and was meant to be. But it was recorded into writing by man, and I think the authors had different perceptions of many things (not all good). I also think there were flaws in the translation of the Bible's wording, thus causing some confusion and contradictions.
But a lot of the contradictions related to the New vs Old in The Book. Much of the Old Testament needed to be included in order to provide the basis, the history, for the Christian Word. And I think some of those contradictions were left in intentionally for the reader to acknowledge the changes.

That relates only to the book of revelation not the entire bible. Why then are there many different versions of the bible like the catholic bible the eastern orthodox, Ethiopian?
This alone proves your point moot.
Oh and if you really study outside your complacent zone, you will discover just how much tweaking has happened in the last 200 years.

The most glaring contradiction of the bible is how it conflicts with reality....

It tells us, they would rebuild their ancient cities, and that their return would anger many nations. Their are many more prophecies, yet this prophecy is being fulfilled.

I have read the bible, thank you.
Once again, I am a recovering Roman Catholic.
Please, feel free to site SPECIFIC examples and scriptural quotes.

Ignoring the backpedaling for the moment, again, specific bible quotes for "prophesies that have come to pass".

You might consider chapters 36,37,38, and 39 of the Book of Ezekiel. These chapters speak of the events that will occur in the latter days.
The fulfillment of these prophecies are occuring in ourtime.
