I don't care what you think my "motives" are.

There's no effort in disproving a religion that disproves itself quite nicely.

But if it will make you feel all better, next time I'll take each post line by line instead of addressing the whole post at once.

How's that? Would that satisfy you?

Yup. Although in fairness people you meet on a general Internet forum are often not the best or brightest any group has to offer. Oftentimes you get young overenthusiastic people dominating or just people with lots of time on their hands. (I'm the second one I suppose)

The really brilliant atheists in history, anthropology, science, and the arts probably have better things to do with their time than post a bunch on city-data. Same with Christians. We're more likely to get someone who runs a Fundamentalist blog than someone with a doctorate in theology from Yale or something.

"Some"? Lets try "nearly all". That is the reality and the fact. And that pretty much establishes that the main story is not intact as it relates to the story of Jesus of Nazareth. Virtually all parallels were invented after Christianity was firmly established. Outside of these types of forums, you'll find only a handful of the same sources cited for this Horus and similar garbage. All of those sources have been discounted by legitimate historians who are actually experts in the field.

If you have Jesus myth examples that actually legitimately predate the life of Jesus, I'd love to see them. I doubt there's one out there that I have not already seen and that has not already been addressed. I've been researching this topic for many years so I'd be very surprised if you could find something I've not already heard.

But if you can, kudos to you and I'll give you props for it. Oh ... please cite the legitimate sources, peer reviewed works, research, etc. so we can all verify the validity of the information.

If theres no effort in disproving a religion that disproves itself quite nicely, why do you attempt?

Why do bible-thumpers continue to try and force their religion on everyone through our laws?

Zeitgeist, The Movie - Remastered / Final Edition

Ummmmmm ... you're a little late on this .... see posts above ... and if you actually believe what you see in Zeitgeist, you really need to get out more, stop believing everything you see on the internet without testing it first, and perhaps go get a real education from legitimate historians.

If that is the best you got I'll just leave it at that. Your pugnacious attitude is unattractive to say the least.

You have absolutely no true grasp of history do you? Our entire legal system was based on the Jewish model. The very creation of our nation, our constitution and our laws were all shaped by religious belief system. Like it or not, that is our national history and heritage. Not saying it's right or wrong, buuuuuttttt......
