I'd be the first to admit I was wrong about this, but I don't believe that Sammy Davis was born Jewish.
Now, if we were talking about the Falasha of Ethiopia, that would be something else again. (Although not at all relevant to the discussion about Jesus, who wasn't Ethiopian in any case).
I have no idea what Jesus looked like, though I imagine he looked Semitic. I do know that he did not look Native American.
Whenever I see those cheesy nativity scenes they sell at Christmas with a tipi and an Indian Joseph and Mary looking over a baby Jesus in a cradle board with a buffalo and a wolf hanging around...I cringe.
