I'm a believer and my attitude is to live and let live. Every person is entitled to his/her belief or non-belief and leave it at that. I'm more disturbed by religious zealots who think it is their duty and calling to convert the World. I believe it is God's intention that Christians must bear fruits only by living a righteous life, and keep the 10 Commandments, to serve as an example to the World.
The way I understand the Scriptures, it is God's plan giving man 6000 yrs to rule himself and after that Jesus Christ will return to rule for 1000 yrs. In this 6000 yrs God gave man free reign to do whatever he wants to do, he even let loose Satan to influence the World but only with his permission. At this first go round he only called out a small group, the believers or his Church, for a future mission. They will be resurrected first (and raptured) as saints to rule the World with Jesus Christ for 1000 yrs! This "calling out" is the
Spring Harvest.
After the 1000 yrs is finished comes the 2nd resurrection of the rest of mankind... to the Great White Throne Judgment! This is the period for the much bigger
Fall Harvest... when billions and billions of humans are resurrected... but still MORTAL.
The "lost" dead will be given the opportunity to know God and his ways for the first time. They are the babies and children who died young, the aborted, the retarded, the insane, the isolated, etc., will be given their first opportunity to hear the Gospel and make the decision to accept (or not) Christ as their personal Savior. Finally comes the Judgment when everyone will face God to be judged according to their works. The wicked will be cast into the Lake of Fire and die a second and FINAL death. Satan and the fallen angels will be tormented in the lake of Fire since they are immortal. The rest of mankind who are saved will be given eternal life and become members of the God Family. They will live in joy, peace, and love in the NEW EARTH forever. The 6000 yrs of strife in contrast to the 1000 yrs of peace under God will serve as a lesson, a memorial, for all eternity.
