First off, the story of Adam and Eve isn't immoral... To the OP, you believe it is, and that's between your conscience and God.
Some people will accept God, and some won't. It's obvious that you've decided not to. How can we try to make sense out of the way God decided to do things? We're nothing compared to God. I'm not going to try to rationalized why God allowed Adam and Eve to have children, and their children to sleep with eachother to make more... Who are we to question God?
But if you don't believe in God, and do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you, us "believers" can talk until we're blue in the face, and you still won't accept the truth.
And this talk about evolution is incredibly ridicalous. Now, if humans came from animals. Tell me, where are these animals? Are they extinct now?

I'll read up on Moab and Ammon. Thanks ILNC!

WE are those animals. That's evolution. We evolved from those animals, therefore those animal became us and are no more.

I suppose that you have a hard time believing the story that was in the news recently that scientists have found a link between a T-Rex and a chicken. I suppose you also don't believe that alligators were 10 times their normal size 100,000 years ago. Yes, they probably are extinct because nature has it's own way of weeding out the "non hackers." Human beings are here because we have naturally evolved to fit into our environment with the best survival skills by being able to use our brains and communication. Early man had problems and there was a need to evolve, so we did, but it wasn't like people just started popping up overnight. It's a slow process that takes millions of years.
I saw this recently on, I believe, the National Geographic channel. With the discovery of fire in early man, it allowed man to cook his food, and spend less time chewing. In order to eat a hunk of raw meat, would take an enormous amount of time. However, to be able to eat cooked meat, allows less jaw power and is less time consuming. As a result, over thousands of years, man's jaw bones and muscles diminished and size. However, this enabled the skull to change it's size and develop a larger brain and allowed early man the ability to develop more thinking power. This is an example of the process of natural selection. It is the power of probability that makes this happen. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm a bit confused. While we are seriously OT, I have to comment on this post. I don't think anyone here would argue there are similarities between the species, clearly there are and honestly, wouldn't there be if they were all created by the same being????
Jumbo jets and bi-planes have similarities but they are both very different and have different mechanics that make them work.
Also, is science (or are you) suggesting that chickens evolved from T-Rex???

To the women he said,
I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children.
I have a story to go with this. I put it on here once before.
When I went into labor I had a long commute. I went to the hospital having light contractions. I was walking from the car to the front door of the emergency room,.I had a huge contraction and I had to stop and bend over.
I thought "oh man this is really it. My last child was 15mo earlier. So the pain was fresh in my mind(as soon as a had that huge contraction)
While I was bent over I thought of what God said to Eve about increasing child birth pains and the reason God did this. I prayed I said, God I have been through this pain three times already and If there is anyway you can take this pain from me........
I walked into the hospital and never had another contraction (Not one).
I was given No medication.
My child was born a couple hours later. The nurses had to tell me when I was having a contraction by looking at the machine. The nurse told me she had helped deliver babies for years and it was the strangest delivery she had ever witnessed.
I have to add I wasn't saved at the time.
I was always a believer in God but I hadn't prayed in a long time.
I called out to him and God answered in a big way!
God was there with me my whole life waiting for me ..... and I have learned now the difference between knowing about God and Knowing God.

You obviously know nothing about science or evolution. Like it or not, evolution is a scientific fact that's been known for a century and a half. Human beings are primates just like gorillas, chimps, etc. and we share a great many genetic and physical characteristics with them. Our very bodies define us as primates. We have fossils of creatures that are partially human but not like modern humans. At some point a few million years ago we shared an ancestor with other living primates. It's typical in nature that species will branch into a number of new species and that's exactly what happened in our human lineage. I think the study of evolution is very exciting and I've been interested in it all of my life. I'm sorry that so many Americans are confused by it or feel threatened by it.

Conversely I think the study of Christianity/Creation is very exciting and I've been interested in it all my life. I'm sorry that so many Americans are confused by it (Christianity) or feel threatened by it!

Nice comeback. The truth of the matter is that evolution is simply a fact of the world that we all live in but many people (particularly Americans) just can't accept it. However Christianity in it's more extreme forms in American politics really is a threat in a number of ways. Many fundamentalists would like to replace the US Constitution with a religious based constitution that recognizes one particular religion over all others. They would also like to replace serious science classes with sunday school stories and they'd also like to punish people who are different than most of us like gays and lesbians. I don't feel confused by Christianity at all. I know what the basic beliefs are even though I don't think they're true and I do feel a certain threat if the extremists ever came to power.

You mean they are not already in power?
