That explains why there are so many different religions.

Are you sure...? For a minute, I thought you were going on some sort of epileptic seizure or something
Who knows if man or deity created it? It's like the chicken or the egg situation. What I do know is that my own set of beliefs was not composed of your set of beliefs For myself, I don't really care as I live my life how I want to, while following my beliefs, but at the same time know that I have the option of questioning anything I believe is incorrect.
As for your quotes, my deities does not sit back and watch over us like a voyeur that gets his rocks off by watching his own children destroy each other. My deities are still actively gouging and extorting freebies from believers today, but at least they provide services for offerings

Yeah...let's see. They build buildings. They have to maintain the buildings. They have to expand the buildings. They pay the preacher...in many cases they provide a home for him. They pay his travel expenses. They buy steeples and stained glass. They buy carpeting. They buy mahagony or oak pews. They buy office furniture. They buy musical instruments. They buy expensive sound systems. They send missionaries to other countries to attempt to change cultures. etc.
In the old testament there are specific instructions to Noah about building the ark. Exact dimensions are stated for the length, width and depth and expressed in cubits. Not one place in the new testament is any similar instruction given about building a church...it isn't even mentioned. Regardless of that the churches now own more real property than any other entity in the world except the governments.
Our predecessors have been scared to death and hoodwinked by the religious authorities since the beginning of civilization when primitive mankind used his developing imagination to convince people that some invisible judge lives in the sky and watches us from our first breath to the last and then determines whether or not we will rise up from the grave, float away on a cloud, enter pearly gates and walk streets paved with gold or...if we don't toe the mark burn in an everlasting lake of fire and brimstone. Quite a load of it don't you think?
Oh...by the way, send your charitible contributions to the Salvation Army...at least that way get's $0.83 of each $1.00 to the hungry.

Usually my belief's offerings are mainly either in fruit, food, rice wine, or incense, so I don't know what you can make of that. And "communion" is usually at home with a family anyways (it's mainly family/individually revolved and not so much community revolved when praying/meditating/etc) You can give monetary donation to temples sometimes, but it only supports the upkeep of temples or the monks (m/f) in them. And even then, they provide a service to you when you do donate
As for being "scared", I'm not afraid of going to the so-called hell because in my beliefs, our "hell" equates to the afterlife (similar to Egyptian beliefs) and judgment there, and not a burning pit Plus, it's cyclic, so I won't suffer too much down there, if at all anyways ^^
Finally, as for sending charitable contributions to SA, people should send donations to me. Poor college student

A perfect example of argument from authority. We are expected to blindly believe the word of a guy with no relevant qualifications and who did not in fact provide any proof of his claim, just because he's "very intelligent".

Eanassir, you've done more harm for your religion. Calling atheists followers of Satan only propagates the stereotype of the ignorant believer which stigmatizes the believers who try to not judge or be ignorant.

I was thinking the same thing. And it makes me wonder if his intelligence also encompasses common sense--a totally different kettle of fish.

Actually two fish and five loaves. A small boy in the crowd of 5,000 provided the cache. The 5,000 men, not counting women and children who also ate, were fed to satisfaction then they gathered 12 baskets of leftovers. It's written in all four gospels. Anybody who believes that will believe anything.

Non-fat, non-sugary, plain cookies. Anything else is demonic

A bit scary...if that played out today, all we'd see would be red
I wonder what would happen if I said that in my beliefs, everything living (including people) was created from a female deity and out of clay?
