Default Prayer Request

As you think of it would you please pray for my mom, Hannah? She is in her early 60s, a breast cancer survivor and was diagnosed with a growth on her lung. She is going into surgery tomorrow, Tuesday to remove the growth and then do a biopsy on it. She will be in the hospital for a minimum of three days, and maximum of five days...so hopefully she'll be home by Mothers Day.

My siblings and I are all quite concerned since she has been a smoker for more than 40 years. She's a very strong woman, but extremely scared right now. And to answer anyone's question about her spiritual status...I really don't know. I honestly can't tell you what she believes as we are on two very different pages, and she does not like to talk about God or her spiritual life. It's a private thing for her.

Thanks so much and I will update you as I hear. I'm having a super tough day and really trying not to think about it, but it's sooo hard not to. I spoke to her today and wished her a happy mother's day on the off chance I'm not able to talk to her this weekend.

I will pray for your mother and trust that everything will be okay. I will also pray that God will ease her fear.

God bless you and your family as you go through this trying time in your life. It isn't easy I know; I've been there, but as always, God will be right by your side.

I am praying that your mom gets through the surgery easily and free of pain. I am also praying that the biopsy comes back benign. I have been through the same thing with my dearest aunt (my mom substitute in my life) and I know how hard it is to deal with. Please just be patient with your mom, the hospital staff and yourself. Be sure to give you mom my best wishes.

I prayed for her when I read your post. I know what it is like because one year ago, my wife went through the surgery. There were some pretty rough days, but Thanks be to God, she is doing much better. At first her emotions were all over the place, but now I believe she is getting back to normal. Again, thank God.

Your mom is in my prayers...for her health and spiritual well being. I pray that God will heal her of any disease that might be present, for the doctors who are doing the procedure, and for her family. May all of you know the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit during this time of concern. I ask that God will give her a very special Mother's Day that is filled with His love and the love of her children!

God Bless You Hoosier...as you have blessed so many others.
