In the Middle Ages and Renaissance, there were a lot of bags made for both everyday use or for other purposes such as containing reliquary items. Since it's difficult to see the scene on your bag, what you should do is try to get better photos. Once you do that, you should email them off to a reputable museum, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK and see what they have to say about it.
Chances are very good that it is NOT a medieval bag, merely a modern copy, but you never know. Without knowing your providence, there's no way to make even a guess.
