magic and christianity dont mix. lots of bible stories on that, its pretty clear a partnership is not possible. this has cost me more than 1 friendship.
Do you seriously believe in magic? Like Criss Angel magic or what?
....And how do we know that illusion is not 'real'. Mars is real to a lot of people, but all we have seen is a lot of photographs and no real proof at all. It could be said that we only have illusions of Mars.
If you asked a person who had a 'hex' put on them or someone who believed in 'ju-ju' magic, then I am sure they would say that it was real. If you believe in God, then some people say that miracle healing is real. On the other side of the coin, the placebo effect accounts for greater than 30% success rate and that is all in the mind and is real to the people who get better as a result of it. This effect is often greater than that obtained by conventional pills and medication, so how real is that? I would say that was magic, wouldn't you?
There were prophesies in the bible and in every culture throughout history and the prophets probably use some kind of 'crutch' to help them come up with the relevant prophesy.

Really? I've looked up into the sky many times, both with my unaided eyes and with a telescope and seen the Red Planet. Are you saying the moon is an illusion too? The sun? The stars?

Nope, because there is a solid scientific explanation for the placebo effect.
I think it would be extremely unusual for a Christian to get involved in using tarot cards or any other item that is supposed to have some sort of supernatural powers because they believe the Bible is the only source of information that is legitimate so I wouldn't think that they would mix for a typical mainstream Christian. Personally I think tarot cards, crystal balls, ouija boards, etc. which are probably manufactured in toy factories have any more supernatural properties than a bowling ball but then of course I don't believe in Christianity either. I'm just pointing out that these sets of beliefs tend to belong at different ends of the spectrum in terms of the types of people who believe in them.

Oh, come on...everyone knows that Magic 8-Ball is always right!
So there is no devil/satan and there is no god. So how do you explain the evil in the world. For the most part evil minds choose their paths except for the criminally insane,so where does the evil come from if there is no devil/satan? I mean someone could knowingly choose to walk into a bank and demand the money or else. What is that act called other than choosing the wrong thing to do which in God's eyes is a sin and in the courts eyes is a crime that is punishable in prison. So why shouldn't there be the possibility of God. Do you expect that all the people that escaped somehow or ran from the law who got away with committing their crime on earth that that is it no punishment or hell to pay (no pun intended) when they die one day. I don't believe that would be fair and should not go without a judgement for the dead murderers, deceivers, thieves, etc. They deservingly should be judged in earthly court and in God's court. That is my 2 cents and opinion on it.
Yeah, I particularly like this one...It surely shows the mercy of your god...
Leviticus 20:27
“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”
