Not quite. Watch it again and this time pay attention. He was asking the heckler why he shouldn't and posing a what if question. I don't believe he ever said he actually would rape.
It would be nice if the thread wasn't started with a lie. The man wasn't saying that he would rape, he was asking a question to make a point. Problems come when people post things saying one thing, but then we see something else.........
No. Street preacher asks basically "If we are all just a big chemical reaction then why is rape wrong?". Atheist in the crowd is repeatedly interrupted when trying to explain the evolution of morality but also fails at explaining the 'wrong-ness' of murder. Something like: "There are limits. If the murder rate exceeds the birth rate then survival will not be possible". Really? Is that the only reason it's wrong?
Then, Preacher makes good points about inner conscience but then (instead of explaining the actual merits of absolute morality) is compelled to try and get converts but threatening hell as the alternative. Fail!!!
Both sides fail in this vid. IMO. The preacher was just yelling over everybody else (instead of actually discussing) so I'll put the blame on him for the apparent non-productivity of the exchange.
To his credit - preacher does have some cojones to get up in public and do that. Dumb but brave.
The title of the thread did cause me to do a little and is very misleading and erroneous. However, it did get me to come in and go watch that video .
The guy doing the 'preaching' in no way ever said that if there was no God he would rape. What he did do is ask an atheist why would it be wrong based on the atheist previous statements regarding the conscious and morality.
Asking "why" something (like rape) would be wrong if there is no God and we are all some sort of chemical reactions that have evolved ... and saying they would do something (like rape) that is wrong if there was no God are 2 very different things.
Like so many of the other so called "thinkers" on this site, the OP probably wasn't trying to be accurate...a sensational headline makes a point whether true or not.

Exactly, this shows the extent that people go in twisting things up to try to discredit something or someone. It's really sad and a shame that someone would stoop to such lowness.
I think it adequately shows that atheists have no reL a solute standard of morality
Really? That’s what you think?
Think some more. Please.
