persecutions and hurts started again the followers of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from the pagans and the situation got so extremely grave and no longer tolerable in the middle of the fifth year of prophethood

the prophet permitted some of his followers to seek asylum there in Abyssinia because he knew that
the king of Abyssinia was a fair christian ruler who would not wrong any of his subordinates.

and they did go to his country.

the pagans did not like that and
could not tolerate the prospect of a secure haven available for the Muslims in Abyssinia (Ethiopia), so they despatched two staunch envoys to demand their extradition.

They had taken with them valuable gifts to the king and his clergy, and had been able to win some of the courtiers over to their side.

The pagan envoys claimed that the Muslim refugees should be expelled from Abyssinia (Ethiopia) and made over to them, on the ground that they had abandoned the religion of their forefathers, and their leader was preaching a religion different from theirs and from that of the king.

see what happend between the christian king and the muslims and the pagans.

The Envoy to Caesar, King of Rome:

the contents of the letter sent by the Prophet (Peace be upon him)
to Hercules, king of the Byzantines:

In the Name of Allh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
From Muhammad, the slave of Allh and His Messenger to Hercules, king of the Byzantines.
Blessed are those who follow true guidance. I invite you to embrace Islam so that you may live in
security. If you come within the fold of Islam, Allh will give you double reward, but in case you turn
your back upon it, then the burden of the sins of all your people shall fall on your shoulders.

l Say [O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]: O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians),
come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allh, and that we
associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allh.
Then, if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims. [3:64]

The Muslim envoy, Dihyah bin Khalifah Al-Kalbi, was ordered to hand the letter over to king of Busra,
who would in turn, send it to Caesar.

Yet more "oh we Muslims are the victims" bull. When will it stop? When will Muslims realize that it is they who must bear the burden of proof that their religion is not violent?
