There is a church close to Pensacola with a sign up saying "Santa isn't coming, Jesus is".
Its Pentacostal. They are defending it by saying that Christmas is about Christ, not Santa Clause. Come on though, little kids read that sign, one woman said her daughter broke down crying when she read it. Her daughter said, "But the church doesn't lie mommy, Santa isn't coming".
What a stupid, heartless, religious thing to do.
I'm waiting for this to hit national. My local news is reporting it.
Meh. I think it's a bad idea *coughliecough* to tell your kid Santa is real in the first place. Personally, I raised my kids with the wonderful stories of Santa, the Grinch, Rudolph, Frosty, et cetera...but they always knew they were just stories for fun.
Don't lie to your kids about Santa, nobody is going to drop the bomb and make them cry over it. Of course, swapping the Santa fabrication for the Jesus fabrication...well, that's not good either.
Of course, if children wake up on the morning of December 26 and find that Jesus didn't come either, it's not going to make any more of a case for them than Santa Claus.
Why lie about something that is not true..no such thing as a santa claus..never was and will never will be..tell your children the truth..Jesus is Lord and is coming back soon..
Lot of lost people we are in the last days..when Jesus returns..where will you be..if you don't believe in the Lord Jesus Christ you will be left behind..and you will have to make a choice of whom to serve..
if you don't have anything good to say, please don't say nothing at all..
