Why is it 'of the devil?' Have you been to a voodoo ceremony where you saw them worshiping YOUR image of a devil? Which god were the French worshiping when they were brutally oppressing the African slaves and their descendants?
Recognizing one thing doesn't mean that you don't help others. Ofcourse we send help to those in need. How else does the light shine and suffering succored.

I've asked this before and none of the hate mongers posing as Christians answer...
Why would you send help or pray for those when God has imparted his judgment? Do you think God made a mistake in sending their suffering? God has decided they deserve pain, suffering and torment...aren't you going against God's will for them when you try to alleviate their condition?
It's no different than a lady with the flat tire or your neighbor who's child dies or the man at your church who gets cancer or the neighboring county that gets devastated by a tornado....it's God's well deserved judgment...he knows best. If he wanted their suffering to end he would end it...don't mess with his plan. RIGHT?!?!?!
At the time he might have lived in Egypt (I am not saying that he did, but then again, he lived in India, too, even died there ), Egypt was not African anymore in terms of culture, if it ever had been, which I doubt. Egypt had nothing to do with Voodoo.
The truth is that you know very little to nothing about Jesus Christ. His life, His walk, where He went or where He didn't.
He taught the South Americans, and traveled wherever He was directed to go.
He could come and go as the wind, appear and disappear at will. He is filled with light and therefore can travel as light.
You defend the darkness and deny the light. Clearly you are at a disadvantage in discussing the Life and truth of Jesus.

I don't share that view. God's system is automatic. Every seed produces after its kind, whether love to joy, or Hate to suffering. Great strides are taken through adversity. Charity (the pure love of Christ) is exhibited by those that help the suffering and destitute, which enables all parties to grow closer to God.
Thankful for all things does not mean that you don't know what causes suffering and pain and disasters.
Pat Robertson gives fundamentalist a bad name, if that's possible. Just what was he thinking? There is no scripture to support his thinking. He really needs to come back to the word of God. He's hurting the gospel!!
I would like you to expand on the bolded part. I would find it very interesting.
