They have there own beliefs, and some are my family members, and this what I tell my family and them, I dont discuss religion and my belief is John 3:16 and shut the door.
If John 3:16 is not your belief, dont answer, they will leave a track there.
The Witness's that come to my door don't speak english and don't have materials in english so I just say I don't speak spanish and they go away (I am serious).
As I mentioned on a couple of threads a long time ago both of those groups have visited my house, two visits from the JW and one from a Mormon. I don't see this as anything to get alarmed about. I was polite to them and said I wasn't religious and the young Mormon guy noticed I had guitars laying around and it turned out that he was also a guitar player. We had an interesting conversation about music and he appeared to be a well intentioned young man. I don't see any problem.
I used to be Mormon and was once a missionary. Now if they or anyone else that I don't know comes knocking on my door or calling my phone I tell them that I am not interested and wish them a good day.
They don't come around too often, but when they have they've asked if I am interested in talking about the Bible. I tell them no thanks. They follow that up with another question, and I reply that I'm really not interested. That takes care of it, and it doesn't last very long.
