hmmmmmm....asking God to 'cure' something that God created that way is probably not the wisest thing to attempt.
...I'm thinking comparably along the lines of praying to God to change dogs into cats. The amused expression on His face when receiving such a request would be worth seeing.
The bible says many things, and not all of them are correct. Don't forget, for all practical purposes back then, gay was not great, as the average life-span was about 30 years, plagues could wipe out entire societies in a week and only 2 out of 5 children made it to their teens. Be fruitful and multiply was written as a God given edict because the alternative was extinction.
For a taste of incorrect - take a long look at Leviticus. Shellfish consumption is an absolute no-no, for example.

Bisexuals can have the best of either world (gay or straight), the best of both worlds, or if immature and/or confused, the worst of both worlds.
Think of electricity: there's A/C, then there's D/C, then there's A/C-D/C (Bi)
lol, I think my electrical analogy may be low on current, eh? heheh
Then why isn't God directing that same power to cure the sin of divorce, something over 50% of evangelicals do in their lifetime?
Lol, interesting observation! Here in Canada we've had full gay marriage everywhere since the end of 2003. So far there have been over 10,000 marriages.....and a whopping 2 divorces. Gays are a little more hesitant to 'tie-the-knot' til they're sure of each other. Bill and I have been together 20 years monogamously as of Dec13th '09. Last year we married. People of many different religions came - we were the only gay people!
lol, I Love North Carolina, have you ever eaten shellfish and prayed for forgiveness? Have you ever worn blended textiles (polyester or wool/cotton blend fabric) and prayed for forgiveness? The bible is an extremely complex book. Paul did not believe in anyone having sex, and stated marriage was the lesser of two evils. If everyone had followed Paul there would be not a human alive today. (at least, not a Christian one)

No the Bible is not an extremely complex book, it's a book that you know nothing about obviously.
hmmm...the intent is not to start a flame war or acrimonious feelings. As a christian (note small c - humility is important) I have made close friends over the years with not one but two professors of theology and several in the clergy.
I Love North Carolina, I always remember to never use the bible to judge others. You are supposed to judge yourself with it. God is the only one qualified to judge anyone else. As Christ so aptly said, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
More Christian intellectual simplicity and theological arrogance. Your interpretation is WRONG, mine is RIGHT. Everyone's going to hell but me! Yay!!
I guess that's what happens when you give a complicated manual to a kindergartner... you get a very simple, cut and dry answer.
