Others have suggested on this forum that perhaps believers and non-believers are just wired differently in terms of how they perceive things and how their brains work. This article tends to support such a conclusion and I tend to think there may be something to it.

Of course there is something to it.
EVERYTHING we know about, experience, feel, etc. is a "function" of our brain. Learning, training, experiencing, etc. all "rewire" our brain to function differently than others. Fail to learn mathematics and discipline your mind to use it and you will function very differently from others who succeed. Fail to learn to read and discipline your mind to understand the written word and you will function very differently from others who succeed. Fail to train yourself to "quiet" your mind, slow your autonomic system, withdraw from your sensory system and attend other sources of experience and you will function very differently from others who succeed.
