The orthopedist was not happy with the loud popping noise, but since I am getting better and not worse is ok with my going back to work. He did say if the pain got worse or it swells up again from working I need to go back for an MRI...but I think it'll be fine. Of course I've never done this before so we'll see. Either way I'm happy I didn't do what you did!

Well, not to make you feel any worse...but you're in the medical profession, you might already know this...
Pretty much anytime you break a bone, you can expect swelling for quite some time. Mine STILL swells up if I am on it too long or wear the wrong shoes etc. But, the first year...the darn thing would swell if I looked at it wrong. So, don't expect too much in the first couple of weeks.
I'll be keeping you in prayer!

In other news...
We are into week 3 with son and his broken arm. After two weeks, the plaster cast came off and a new cast that is velcro'd on went on as the first one got broken by son. sigh. This second cast had locks to keep him from taking it off...hello, if he breaks the first hard cast, what makes them think this one will stop him...I called the dr. office today and told them I wanted another hard cast put on so we are going back to the dr. on Monday for another hard cast. If he breaks this one, I am breaking his head!

Its morning, I'm still a bit sleepy. Drinking the last of my coffee.
And I think I'll look in the "something-upbeat" thread so I can start my day off feeling good.
And what do I find.
Talk about pain, and broken bones and beating your head against the wall.
EEEeeek.
I'm out'a here.
PS Happy Birthday Carolina
