Found this to be very interesting, I never heard about this woman before.
Video is a bit long but is very interesting.
It's about a woman who has a stroke on the left side of the brain that controls everyday stuff of functioning in our world.

This allowed her right side of the brain which puts us in touch with our inner self, spiritual or whatever you want to call it to be the focus of her attention.

What makes her story that much more interesting and compelling is the fact that she is a brain research scientist from Harvard University.

It's an interesting balance between the right hemisphere and the left. When my mother suffered a stroke on the right hemisphere, she temporarily became emotionless. It was kind of eerie to talk to someone that did not reflect any emotion whatsoever. But she regained it after a short time. The one thing she lost permanently are the motor functions to her left side that are controlled by the right hemisphere.
