I'm asking this with a respectful tone and so that I might learn more. It is not intended to bash Christianity. However, I think this is wide open position this belief has allowed to be questioned.
Why is that all these miracles, of instant healing, that rival any voodoo ceremonial claims, always consist of a "grey" area.
The guy healed always seemed to have "one leg grow out." A metal screw disapear, blurry vision healed, arthritis healed, someone who could barely walk, gets up and walks, people passing out and falling to the floor.
Isn't this just hysteria? Proven is most all phsychology studies. I mean all these instant healings never involve healing a child who got his face blown off by a bomb, or soldier who lost his leg, or guy with a 10 pound tumor, or, or, or. They are always in that GREY area, where mind over matter COULD be the explanation.
I tire of it actually. I tire of hearing and seeing the guy with sitting on a chair, one leg slightly longer then the other and "watching the legs even out." This is pure nonsense and those doing it are FRAUDS! Why do so many Christians buy into this CRAP!?!?!
I do believe in healing, I do believe in a superior creator, but this stuff running around is nothing more the con artists, using religion and turning soooooooooooooooo many intelligent people off to it, cause they see right through that CRAP!
The why is because Christians love "miracles", magic, shortcuts, and general laziness to/in life. Think about it - accept Jesus into your heart and repent and your sins are forgiven, i.e. you don't have to responsibility for your actions. That and a degree of hypnosis, hypnotic music, and hypnotically induced hallucinations are involved and you have a recipe for buying into it all. Know you now.
