Back in the 80’s I had several regressions sessions. I still have the tapes someplace. This was prior to being married, and the person I was in a long term relationship with was Buddhist and into the life regression process. She found it helped her come to grips with other issues in her life. I went twice and found them relaxing, and sort of curious. The first regression had me as Mongolian. This was a culture I knew nothing of, and the person seemed nothing more than a star watching wondering. He died of old age, and I don’t think I found any insight into his life. The next was a French solider who died fighting in the French wars during the time of Napoleon. He died young; and nothing special was learned from that short regression. My friend had many regressions, and often said she found parts of them helped her understand views she had in today’s life.
Were they real? I have no idea. I questioned why I was talking in English and not French or some Asian dialect in the tapes, and why they were so far from what I am today. My conclusion was it is something I picked up in my reading which was buried in my mind deep enough for me to have forgotten it. Just the same it was fun, and for her anyway it was helpful.
