1 day = 1 spin of the Earth. Then, when God created the universe "at the beginning", did he have to create the Earth as his counter first?

(BTW, 1 year = 1 cycle to go around the Sun)

I know this might be a peculiar thought...but suppose for just a moment that the opening chapters of Genesis are just a story to explain something to a non-technical population?

dang it took god a whole 6 days to create the universe, i thought god could create it all in a nanoplex second..

Well, he could've...but he got distracted by all that other stuff. Like those reinforced concrete columns on Mars (and similar "discoveries" posted in other threads here).

I don't even question God. all I know is I walked away from a car that was folded like a napkin in a wreck and prior to that wreck happening I screamed "JESUS HELP ME!!!!". that's my 2cents.
