Nope, he created the people that chose to become homosexuals.

What criteria do you use to choose which of god's laws to follow? How about the laws that say you should kill non believers, disobedient children, adulterers, etc., It seems that they are ignored , but bigotry against homosexuals is popular among Christians....The hypocrisy !

I realize we're splitting hairs here but a person who has sex with someone of the same sex, regardless of age, that is called homosexual and why should it make any difference if it's a priest or an ordinary person, why are priest treated differently? They have broken the law and should be made to pay for it. I have no sympathy for anyone who abuses children in any way shape or form, especially priests, because they have been entrusted to look after the care of children and those that abuse children in such a manner have broken that trust and have no business being priests anymore and should face man's law for their criminal acts.
To be honest, I agree with you that priests should be treated no differently than any other person who molests a child. The problem as I see it is with the Church that protects their priests by moving them around instead of allowing them to be prosecuted. But you seem to be still missing the point that pedophilia has nothing to do with either homosexuality or heterosexuality. It is NOT the gender of the victim that sparks the pedophile's interest; it is the AGE of the child, in combination with the accessibility, which in the case of a priest is a young boy as an altar boy.

Homosexuality is Against God's Law, declareth the title of this thread. But if you stop to think about it (not often a characteristic associated with C-D debates), you soon realize that there's more debate involved in that one sentence than you bargained for...

First off, who's setting the standard for "God's law?" Doesn't that depend on which holy book you [literally] put your faith in?

OK, suppose you've already decided upon the Bible. The next question is, are you using the whole Bible, or just cherry-picking amongst the various rules and ordinances? Because if it's the former rather than the latter, I'd like to know how you get around the 18th chapter of Leviticus--which sets out prohibitions against a pretty wide variety of sexual behaviors (or misbehaviors, depending upon how you feel about them!)

I think my response to the whole thing is...invalid question. Next case...

Most priests are homosexual themselves -- you hear this a lot in the news (just a tip of a iceberg) -- this is also the reason religion attacks homosexuality.

Non chooses their sexual preferences. What day did you wake up and choose to be (presumptively) a heterosexual?

You know I was thinking about this recently. I tried to think of myself in a sexual way with another woman and I was really kinda sickened by it! I couldn't choose to be turned on by a woman if I tried! I really don't think it is a choice in most cases.
