News, '99.9pc certainty' of Noah's Ark discovery on Mount Ararat.
CHINESE and Turkish evangelical explorers believe they may have found Noah's Ark - 4000m up a mountain in Turkey.
The team said it had recovered wooden specimens from a structure on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey that carbon dating proved was 4800 years old, around the same time the ark is said to have been afloat.

This has been floating around the Internet for quite some time -- amazingly, the details remain the same over time.
I'm not saying it's not *possible* -- but this is an oft-repeated story, and has persisted for at least the past twenty years.

I see that these 'explorers' work for Noah's Ark ministries so i choose to disregard this obvious & blatant B/S.
I've visited Turkey five times, and even the Turks don't believe this story either.

No, it is not another one. It is the sameone they have been searching for. And it looks like they may of found a small part of it. Others from the past stated the Ark was broken up in three sections. They may of found one of the smaller sections.

What is with this hypocrisy? Rejection of radiometric dating showing the age of the Earth to be greater than 6,000 years, and then acceptance of radiometric dating to show the age of some wood to be 4800 years? Oh well, I'm looking forward to the debunking of this one as well.

I believe the age of the earth to be around 13,000 years. Radiometric dating shows the earth to be in the thousands of years. Believers in evolution reject dates that do not conform to their evolution time frame. Believers in the Bible reject older dates that do not agree with the Scriptures. Science has show us time and time again, that they have been wrong. The Bible has a much better track record. So until others can point out obvious errors in the Scriptures history, I would be hard pressed to accept C-14 dates over Scripture. It is not a question of hypocrisy, it's more of a question of who you can believe.

You're still off by several orders of magnitude.

Why is it so impossible go get this through to your head. Radiocarbon dating does not date the age of the Earth.

I didn't mean another Ark. I meant another poster who thinks your Ark has been found!
