But never, ever, tell what the Book of *_______*really says, even by pasting outright from it, cause those who live in a fairy tale world of make believe in it just cannot be confronted with the truth -no, not here!

But go on with the bashing of the Bible, and the bashing of Christians who believe the Bible is True from the Beginning, and that Jesus the Christ is the last word from God.
Party on.

Yeshuasavedme,

I understand your frustration and when I was a fundie I always felt this way.....that everyone was allowed to bash Christianity, but we weren't allowed to say anything!!

Now I have a different approach since becoming a Universalist.......the love I feel for my fellow man trumps all the "oh woe is me" stuff and it just doesn't matter anymore. It doesn't matter what anyone says or does, I'm just going to love them and quietly go about my business of spreading the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and UR.

Step back and remember......you're in the R&P where things can get a little rough.

The bashing of any text is OK here,as long as it is done within the terms of service. This includes the Koran, whatever the Hindu bible is,Darwin's Origin of Species, etc, etc.

Christianity is just the dominant religion here, and unfortunately for Christianity, has followers who take allegorical stories as literal events. This means you are going to see more "bashing" of misinterpretations of ideas like Noah's Ark,a 6000 yr old earth,Jews being told to commit genocide on other non Jew races in the OT,etc, etc.Comes with the territory of being the dominant theology.

The answer to your complaints is...don't participate if you don't like it here.

Actually, there is no need for anyone to bash the bible. Read it once, study it and it becomes irrelevant. Quotes and references to/from it become meaningless.

If you want to believe in it, fine. Just don't expect everyone else to fall to their knees in worship of it (as to many christians do).

Not going to happen.

LOL,

I use the bible to bash Christians, you know, the exact verse and phrase from the bible, that Christians don't like, and don't read, and most don't even know exist.

Bashing or any sort, whether directed towards the bible, a denomination, a religious orientation, or another individual is NOT permitted here, nor has it ever been. The Terms of Service prohibits it.
