i dont think every ghost tale or encounter was lies, same with mediumship, not all is fake.....ghosts are just spirits unmanifested ion the material plane, waiting for their next body, also when we die we can see back a few lifetimes and have a better understanding of our existence,or just what weve been through, its only the condition of the body and false ego that keeps us ignorant to our real selves,we think we are these gross material elements but realy we are eternal spiritual beingsTWIB

Prove it, or it's all just more superstitious myths.

I think I'll be happy with the one life I have.

Though I obviously have the same urge to know "what if" as any other, but in the end I think I'll be happy with my life as I've lived it, both with the mistakes, and flaws as well as the happiness and memorable moments. I wouldn't want to belittle that life by having another.

When I die, I prefer to decompose.

Superstitious myth. Fairy tales. Stories to frighten or amuse. Fiction. Fallacy. Sometimes simply blatant lies. Your choice what to call it but none of it is real.

That'd be super.

I don't think it's going to happen

Look at the OP's message and reasoning. It is a message of fear, paralyzing fear based on urban legend, or how ever you label it. It really leaves one feeling sad, sad for people so fearful that is their message.

Ancient mythology, I'd say. Otherwise, Asheville Native, you are absolutely correct.

So what are you saying? Am I going to come back as a lower life form simply because I didn't believe in an afterlife? If so, who cares? I'm going to keep coming back until I get it anyway, right?

Oh yeah, and Buddha was an atheist. His philosophy was to live in the moment but, just like any other "prophet", his original message has been perverted by a group who came along after him and wanted to capitalize on his beliefs.

I've sometimes thought it would be nice to have my life again and avoid making some of the detours that have taken up time. But that would mean that I'd have to have all my previous life memories and live the same life again.

If it's just reincarnation, it's a different me and a different life and, when you think of it that way, it wouldn't be 'Me' at all. It would be someone else.

That's why I tend to think that the stick and carrot of rebirth is meaningless. It has no force. It's someone else's life and problem.
