I moved to South Reno and love it so far. Check out the apartment complexes off South Meadows, I think you'll find them affordable and very nice.

interesting.. I have heard mixed reviews but this is nice to know... I know the requirements are that you have 3x a months rent in salary which is a very high standard .

Red face Moving to Reno in June

Hi everyone,

My husband's job is transferring him to Reno this summer. We know nothing about the area. We have two children in high school. I would like to know where the good schools are in Reno. From previous posts I read it sounds like South Reno and Northwest Reno would be choices to live, if so are the schools there good ones?

Hello and WELCOME! There are many great options in Reno. In Northwest Reno, McQueen High School is great and in the South Galena High --- Reno High is also a great school and located in between the two.

If I can help provide you any additional information let me know! This area is fantastic and, in my opinion, one of the best national treasures for recreation, weather and proximity to any number of activities!

I moved here 6.5 years ago and have never regretted it; I welcome a new friend to Reno!!!
