It is a very cute and safe area. Resonable homes to buy and reasonable rents. You will have to travel to CC for major shoping which is not far. You're next to Minden another great little town. Very close and beautiful senic drive to Tahoe. I belive there is also a bus from GV to Tahoe. There is also an area called the Rancheros which is also very nice.

I have nothing bad about that town because its such a nice affordable and safe area. OKAY they need more restaurants and I am not talking fast food Mom and pop type would make it better.

Thank you for your post. My husband and I went out to Reno in January, 2010 and we were ok with it but we like the greener Gardnerville and the fact that it's much closer to Heavenly.

I love that area ---- jobs not so much, commute to Heavenly...well...Heavenly! Great safe community and low key with access to major shopping within thirty minutes : )
