My husband has been looking on the market to change his job as college professor. UNR has made a decent offer (25% higher than similar offer for Atlanta area) but we have real concerns about the financial stability of the institution. Is UNR a sinking ship at this point? This would be a very big move for us (with 3 school-aged kids) so we definitely do not want to get all the way out there only to find the job disappear.

I guess my question is basically "is this just a bad time to count on UNR for a steady job?

Thanks!
