Anyplace!

Congratulations.

Heh. This from a resident of the drought-plagued zoo-on-dirt that hosts bikers, street gangs, gambling halls, and prostitutes when not making an entire industry out of ripping families up in court.

Never ceases to get a grin when a Renoite acts morally snobby.

So you posted in this thread simply to make a personal attack on another poster?

Glad you hated Reno... don't let the door hit you in the keester on the way out...

Referring to my post, jones? See, I can't tell, what with the comment I quoted being a quite personal attack on another poster.

If so, who wouldn't find irony in such moralizing, presumably coming as it did from within Reno itself. And aside from that, it's supremely ironic that in this day and age we cannot see Nevada's choices as being at the least potentially more cancerous to a people's collective soul than the use of what only appears to be a mild ethnic reference.

I guess that's the moral equivalency of political correctness: Since Reno has made each of its social corrosives and vices lucrative profit centers, well, then they're acceptable, aren't they, even when saying "mexicanization" -- which is a morally-neutral observation -- isn't.

Possibly even, one wonders, to "narrow-minded simpletons"?

If those are the ethics I alluded to in the very flesh talking, and if local folks are oblivious to those ironies and double-standards, maybe I'll take your advice: I'll probably not let Reno's gaudy, hypocritical door hit me on the "keester" when I exit the place.

Ten,

Good to know that you have no trouble painting an entire city, including all of it's residents, with the same brush. You're so enlightened! I thank you for sharing your wonderful insights into the shortcomings of our fair city, now please leave before I report you to a moderator.

Ok, this thread has really drifted off the original topic which was an inquiry as to where people move to when leaving Reno.

Let's give it a rest for awhile and talk about the original topic later.
