We are having to make a quick sale of our California house due to some nefarious characters doing some legally sanctioned activity. After contacting everyone that could do something about it, we are now throwing in the California liberal towel. We would like to move to America - haha. We found a house in Washoe Valley that is amazing. We are from the hills above Sacramento and used to snow. However, I am having a hard time finding a lot of info about this valley. I know the wind is pretty gnarly - but we don't commute. I'm looking for a list of pros and cons - not just about the weather, but other things. I sort of need it ASAP. I'm not sure if the landowner is being completely forthright about the weather conditions...

The wind is the worst part of Washoe Valley --- it really is a neat bedroom community to Carson and Reno....rural feel etc. But, the roads can get shut down and the wind is GNARLY!!

Welcome to Northern Nevada where we welcome all : )

We signed the papers today! Very excited. We have no commute (hubby works from home and we privately school). Thanks for the warm welcome
