If anyone can offer a bit of advice as to a couple of apartment complexes in either Reno or Sparks I would appreciate it. We have a 2 year old son and are looking for a 2 bedroom around 850-1,000 sq ft. I've heard mixed reviews on Sparks. I've been told to stay away by some people and others say it's like any other city with good and bad areas. I would prefer Reno. Also, we are wanting to keep it around $800-900/mo. If anyone knows of any good apartments please let me know. Thank you in advance!

Default Does the Sparks Marina have Rental Townhomes???

I have visited Reno twice, briefly. what about the "sparks marina," does that have rentals, or do people own the places? is that a "safe" area? have they filled in the businesses that were for lease about 4 years ago?

I know how to "find" an apartment. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what area or apartments are in a good/safe area, but still affordable. Thank you for any help!

My wife and I moved to Houston, and we have our Springland Village condo for rent. It's $795 per month, beautiful, safe complex (in Sparks, near intersection of Baring Blvd and Sparks Blvd). 918 square feet, two bedrooms, two baths. Walk to Smith's grocery, five minute drive to Sparks Marina.

My wife and I will be relocating back to Reno/Sparks on August 19, 2012. We are looking for a smaller condo for 1 year until we can buy. If you have not rented it, you may contact me at my reno number. 775-624-5700.

Thank you.
Joe

The Cavita or Waterstone in Sparks is nice. I have friends that live there.

There is a very nice area of Sparks on the East side near Vista. Cavita and Waterstone are very nice but a little on the high price. There are some lower priced apartments off of Los Altos and D'Andrea that are big enough for you and have a pool and nice ameneties. They are The Villas at D'Andrea, Bristol Bay, and Canyon Hills. There are really no "bad" areas in Sparks imo, there are just older neighborhoods vs. newer. In Reno anything in the Northwest is pretty decent. The farther out from McCarran (which circles both cities) seems to be a little better than inside McCarran.
