My family (with a 4yo and 3mo old) will be moving to Reno in either March or April.
I have been researching my a$$ off for the last 8 months about Reno and everything in and around it.
I have been there once and I loved it, my husband has been there a few times and also loves it. We currently live in Gilroy CA and hate it. Too expensive, low paying jobs/no available jobs, I could go on all day.
My question for you Reno locals is, what mid/large apartment complexes give you the most for your money and are still zoned for a pretty good elementary school? (my 4yo will turn 5 in May so its kindergarten time!)
I have narrowed it down to Zephyr Pointe, The Bluffs, Manzanita, Village at Donner Creek, Creekside and Northwind. (these are just the ones I saw on Craigslist)

My husband and I can't seem to narrow this list down, does anyone like/dislike any of these apartments? Why?

My apartment requirements are:
-has to have a W/D IN the unit(due to the mounds of dirty laundry from a baby, toddler and husband in the house)
-has to have at least 2 beds(3 preferred but 2 is doable)
-fitness center or pool(I need to lose this baby weight!)
-dishwasher!!!
-under $800 per mo
and a big + would be a place that allows pets, we don't have any right now but we want to get either a cat, boxer/english bull dog(depending on breed/weight restrictions) or both.

If anyone can think of another apartment or condo complex other than the ones I listed that meets all of my crazy mom requirements above, PLEASE for the love of god, LET ME KNOW!!!

Any help is mush appreciated!!

Have you considered Sparks? There are some off of Vista in the D'Andrea area that would suit your needs as well as some in the Wingfield Springs area. Of the ones you mentioned I have only lived at Manzanita and it was nice, but keep in mind there are crazy winds over in the hills of the Northwest. I had to watch tv in the bedroom most winter because of the whistling that would come through my fireplace.
